Too expensive, not worth it.

True life experience:
We have 10+ dogs on our block. They are for the most part pretty quiet. However a few years ago there were a few that barked all night long and the owners were (evidently) oblivious to it. So when the dogs barked for 10 minutes or so Kipp would go out on the porch and start yelling "Hey your dog's barking, hey shut up dog" and other comments about all you do is bark shit and howl at the moon as long as they kept barking...then the dogs owners would come outside and tell Kipp to shut up and he'd say I will when your dog does. They'd either go back inside and put up with his shouting or shut the dogs up. |

Our neighbor called the police on us for this issue. We were out of town, and it was during the afternoon. (We keep our dogs in at night.) After he also threatened to shoot our dog, we bought her a shock collar and built a nice new wooden fence to obscure our view of the guy.
Both strategies have had their intended effect, I'd say. |

On a side note, this shit never comes up with me because I trained my mutt when she was a pup. She's a Jack Russell, so she barks, but every time she does she looks at me, hangs her head, and goes to bed. I don't even have to say it anymore.
Moral of the story, just like some people can't train their kids, even more people can't train their dogs. |

Hopefully today is a better experience. Otherwise I will have to meet with him.
