I think Bray is slow to grasp life in general. If you've ever seen any interview with the poor kid, you'd be surprised that he survived life without a helmet. Tennessee must have some easy classes.

There is not one scout that has said anything like this.

Completely agree. I'm looking forward to seeing them stand side by side in camp. They are completely different body types and players.

When God made Tyler Bray, he sacrificed a few of Bray's brain cells to give him better arm strength.

Why is Daniel this experienced veteran? The dude has made ONE start in his NFL career, and that was because his coach said, "Ehh, **** it. Why not?"

We're still raped six ways to Sunday if Alex Smith goes down. You may as well throw the rookie out there if it happens.

Ideally, you bring 'em all in to TC and let them battle. You hope that another team loses a QB to injury and remember how well Chase Daniel played in that one game...and then you give 'em the Matt Flynn special, acquiring a mid-late round pick in 2015 to go along with all of the compensatory picks and high picks we'll have from a shitty season.

Smith, Murray, Bray.

This.

Unfortunately some people are stuck on the notion that throwing a rookie qb in the game could/will ruin him. I feel that that notion has been dispelled.

I don't agree.

I think it depends on the QB.

What do you get with Murray that you don't already have in Daniel?

Nothing.

His cap friendly contract!;)

RippedmyFlesh 05-11-2014 04:46 PM

Murray is competition. There was 0 competition last year at qb with all 3 roles clearly defined. Daniel Bray Murray, no one can say today who will be the best come sept. At least we know reid will let qb's compete. Murray went against better D's in college than Daniel and ran a lot of pro style O instead of a spread. And I think he has a better deep ball than Daniel.

Pretty much this. Except we saw how that worked out when Cassel went down and they played Palko. Obviously a terrible example because all three suck donkey dick, but all coaches value veterans (with no experience) over rookies

I don't see that happening either. Bray is still young, 22 I think. They won't turn him loose yet. I can see him possibly landing in Tampa and I hate to say it, but it wouldn't surprise me if he landed in Denver if we cut him. Not sure I could take that.

Bewbies 05-11-2014 05:40 PM

Murray with either be on IR or will be the #2. Daniel is on the bubble, not Bray.
