In the end it wouldn't have made one freakin' bit of difference if Gannon had started and the offense had scored more points, because Marty was coach.
Martyocre's philosophy was to minimize mistakes, keep the score close, give his team a chance.
And he paid for that philosophy in the playoffs, and against John Elway.
It's no coincidence that Elway had more comeback wins against Marty teams (Cleveland and KC) than any other HC.
So when it came time to win, Marty's philosophy would have bit him in the ass, even if Gannon had played.
