Tell your dad that wireless keyboard or mouse has a disturbing tendency to cause Windows to reset when the batterys go dead and need recharging. If you are in the middle of working on a file that you have not saved recently this can have a disturbing loss of work.

I second that. Of course, what Logical has stated is true. I would just go with a optical mouse, along with a nice keyboard, since the optical mouse wouldn't really need major cleaning, compared to a rolling ball mouse.

Oh, and if you are going to get a keyboard, make sure the damned thing is water/pop proof, mmmmk?

That is a good idea. Mine had a charger for the batteries and two sets of batteries but I somehow always waited to long before swapping them.
