I know I've walked into a flame war, but I honestly believe that he wouldn't have been let go if something wasn't going on. Maybe they noticed that he's slipping (though it seems like FBs can play till they're 45 :) ), maybe it was some sort of contract dispute. But even Carl doesn't get rid of one of his guys for no reason.
