If the Gov cancled the upcoming football season or banned beer.

It's Shea stadium, named after Bill Shea. He was upset that the Dodgers and Giants left New York and threatened to start a rival baseball league if MLB didn't replace their moves with a new NL team. MLB finally agreed and put the Mets in Queens. He later helped to bring the Jets to Queens and the Islanders to the NHL. When offered 20% ownership of of the Mets, he declined, considering it his civic duty.

I share (and feel) your pain. I too have a felony (non-violent-drug-related), and it has been 23 years since the conviction, and 24 since my incarceration ended, and that damn thing still rears its ugly head in my rear view mirror. I have not even had a parking ticket since then, and I'm still jumping through hoops to try and get that thing expunged.
Being that it happened in South Dakota and I live in east Tennessee makes it harder also.

Now that is one circumstance I can agree with.

The whole idea of being ID'd via implanted microchip might make me nervous. Mandatory military service would be another.

I'm a lover, not a fighter. :D

If they banned due to some enforced sanctions, French bottled water such as Volvic and Evian. :p

ROFL Way to turn a negative into a positive there.

Perhaps TheDudeAbides should note something like this on my resume. "I'm an ex-felon so no one will hire me. This means that I would be your most loyal employee."

When the corporate robber barons and the prostitutes on their payroll (politicians/judiciary) try to use emenent domain to take my home to build condominiums or walmart supercenters.

I dont know if this was covered, how does an illegal immigrant have more rights than a felon...

Illegals dont have any rights, just because someone breaks the law by giving him a job doesnt mean he has more rights...

Shite, I have been a legal immigrant for 21 years and I still cant vote...

Rain Man 07-27-2006 09:00 AM

Are you a green card guy, carlos? And if you don't mind sharing, do you plan to pursue citizenship at some point?

htismaqe 07-27-2006 09:04 AM

If it involves my wife or kids, I'd kill for them.
