Can't argue with that.

I don't take anything that Carl, or the Chiefs organization, says at face value, but neither do I give rumor any credence.

This "Football threads aren't welcome" is just BS.

I realize a third person story does not hold water, but the part of the brain stem swelling really concerned me. We talk football all day at work, my friend is a good guy that would Never BS about this stuff. Plus I knew his mom was a nurse long before this ever came up. The whole conversation started on his own medical problems, which are pretty bad right now-but he is going to try and make it to the game. He mentioned he was seeing some of the same doctors Trent was and his mom has gotten to meet TG and his family several times. Well the rest was about the specifics of what she had heard... ect...

Believe what you want-but I think Carl is the one full of shit and TG is hurt much worse than he is saying.

TG might end up on the PUP for this very reason. I think he is done for the year at the very least.

But he has shocked everyone before and came back to perform at a high level???

Even if you have that information, you could get your mom fired.

I CALL BS!

That is absurd considering all the people in that office-plus the fact there has been tons of reports on his condition since it happened-where did all that info come from??

To the Chiefs credit they didn't say he would miss just two more weeks but rather "at least two more weeks..."

Purely my guess and speculation but I would imagine it would be week 8 at the earliest and then bet he only comes back if the team looks like a serious playoff contender. If this team is out of realistic playoff contention I would be shocked if he comes back this year.

Green: that’s not the plans that I have been told

I think this is also key. He must have been told, I assume by doctors, that this is not career threatening.

I'm sure it is not once fully healed which nobody including the doctors know how long it will take, could be a couple weeks or could be several months...If he were 28, retirement would be a non-issue but given his age could make it a different story. Coming back to play another 6 to 8 years versus his case of fighting to come back for what is likely 2 or less.

But I have no doubt he would like to come back and have some playoff success to put on his resume.

Some QB's are back in a week after a concussion-hell Brett Favre went back in and threw a TD to win the game. TG's hit was much worse-I will be shocked if he comes back this year.
