You're right, this would be a much more enlightened place if half the people around here were gone and the other half didn't post anything that stirs the pot.

Last time I checked this is a Chiefs football board not DU. If you are not here to talk about the Chiefs or the NFL why the **** do you post here?

Have the mods looked into what Iowanian actually has said to her in the past that caused her to send him the private message? Does he have a long-standing history of sending inappropriate messages to her? I saw some of them -- are there others that cross the line? Will he be banned or punished for those?

Link and quote please.
What I saw of Iowanian’s post was that he hoped here kids joined the Marines. Hardly a threat to anyone.

So let me get this straight. Someone (Kotter) who has a picture of Fred Thompson as their avatar with the caption "Run Fred Run" is advocating that someone else be banned for making too many "political" posts?

I know that you consider Denise's posts to be "trolling", but that's based upon your disagreement with her political views. I don't see her flooding the main board with new threads, or by herself hijacking other threads and turning them political. Unless her M.O. has recently changed, usually someone else goes "political" and then she responds. Then about 10 people jump on and start degrading and insulting her, even those times when she makes a good point. (A bit of a back-handed compliment, I know.)

I'm sure if Ann Coulter (who makes her living as a political "troll") became a regular and started to spew her typical incoherent ranting on this board, some of the regulars around here would welcome her with open arms (even if they did confine her to the DC forum).

I talk football. Often. Especially during the season.

Duh.

But that has traditionally gone on from both sides of the spectrum. In fact, it would be hard to deny that denise's relationship with many board members who dislike her has been a two-way street.

Her posting style may be provocative but so is calling someone an Islamic whore. And it can be said that denise stays on topic instead of resorting to the same kind of personal attacks that she has had to endure. And if someone is going to counter that kind of disrespect with thread titles that intentionally annoy, oh well.

“Girly men”? Wow, Penchief’s have’n a homo-erotic meltdown.
Why martyr yourself for someone that you can’t even agree with and get along?

Maybe she wouldn’t get called those names if she didn’t purposely try to annoy. :hmmm:
And since you don’t seem to actually read any of Denise’s posts, she doesn’t post much of anything that isn’t an attack at someone else.
She’s a troll, trolls get banned.

Of course you do. But I still think the hypocrisy is hilarious.

All that's happening here is that instead of outright banning her because her politics are "in your face" and in opposition to the "majority" on this board, certain people have intentionally crafted the issue to make it about whether or not she talks enough about football. This wouldn't be an issue if certain people didn't find her posts and her politics to be annoying in the first place. The veil is pretty thin here.

stevieray 04-19-2007 07:53 AM

damn..no wonder Gaz doesn't post here anymore. this place is losing it's burst.

Penchief is doing a nice job of showing why there is so much anomosity towards Densie and the DC forum...here and others fling whatever whenever they want, then play the victim when called on it.

I think bill parcells dem video was spot on...there is a handful of people who can never afford to be wrong...instead, they wait daily for any mistake, so they can be claim to be "right".

It's pretty obvious who the whiny fem is here.

By the way, the SUBJECT of this warning (not you, in case you missed it) happily accepted all of this about 45 minutes ago. Fight on, though!

I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing out the gigantic hole in the logic being used. It's hypocritical. But you go on acting like it's not.

You are kidding yourself. This entire issue arose because of what happened in DC and people not liking her political beliefs and posting style.

From the person who started the ban poll:

"I want the bitch gone - it's not like I'm losing sleep over it. I didn't have scale a cliff or dodge bullets to post this poll. Life will go on. I've endured her thinly-veiled, poorly disguised racist and anti-American hatred for years. I'll continue to do so.

And the next time video surfaces of some captured Marine getting his head sawed off, and she can barely contain her glee, a lot of the people who voted to keep her around will scratch their heads and say "Damn, somebody really ought to do something about this.""

The old rule that people must post football posts was a good idea years ago, but you and I both know that the nature of this board has changed dramatically since back then - in fact you were complaining about it a week or so ago. Some people are best left in DC.

Intentionally craft?

ROFL

You do realize that this EXACT SAME policy has come into play AT LEAST SIX TIMES over the last 5 years, right?

The veil is indeed thin. It fails to cover the fact that you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
