LOL, a little premature perhaps? Maybe he'll be the next Ankiel and meltdown in the playoffs. Lucky for the Dodgers, they probably won't make the playoffs.

We are doing damned good for the ammount of players we got hurt right now. Nomar, Furcal, Jones and i beleive Kent is hurt. I been so wrapped up in the NBA atm, i have kind of neglected the Dodgers. Not sure if Kent is hurt or not, but thats alot of veteran players right there. We are playing atm with nothing but kids.

3 games above 500 and 3.5 games out of first.

I was just teasin'. Although in reality, Arizona is looking pretty tough. Kent played this weekend.

To be fair to BRC he may not have ended his career, but he was never the same again pitching for houston after that homerun. he stunk pretty bad, but he has re-established himself in philly and has been lights out so far.

That was 2005. It is now 2008 and he has stunk it up since then. Maybe it just took him 3 years to get over the homer?:p

Oh well, put the brooms back.

The Cardinals have historically been horrible on their west coast swings. To win 4 out of 6 is a winning % I'll take every time.

Two years ago he stunk, but last year he was a good player for the stros. At times he dominated in both the set-up and closer role. However he struggled with consistency and sometimes he would give up a big home run or a big inning. Houston decided to move on, but they had to rebuild a completely different team (something like 15 roster players are gone from last year) so the move was understandable. I would take a 2007 Brad Lidge anyday. He has really only had one bad season, so while Pujols may have been a bump in the road, he was hardly a career ender.

Kent was supposed to rest yesterday but he and Torre mis-communicated so he sat today. The rook played well today. Go Dodgers!

LMAO the reaction by the homer WGN announcers was just priceless. they really need Stone back to provide some realism to the broadcast. man i thought cardinal broadcasters were homerific, but those turds in chicago take the cake.

I agree BB is definitely a homer broadcaster. On another note he wasn't charged with an error. In fact Soriano has a 1.000 fielding percentage this year. Kind of surprising to me because I can count 3 in my head that should have been given to him. Being an all-star has its perks I suppose.

If the Chiefs EVER moved to Los Angeles, I SWEAR, I'd only go to eight games a year.

I guess so...

I can think of two in a Friday night Cards/Cubs game at Busch a few weeks ago.

BTW, the Dodgers are COMPLETELY fuckING USELESS. For the second night in a row, they choked away a late game lead against Chicago. I assume they're getting ready to lose in extra innings now.

:cuss:

EDIT: Cubs just won. 4321 the Dodgers.

Actually the Cubs took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and hung on to beat the Dodgers 3-1 last night. Tonight's was a great game with the Dodgers leading 1-0 going into the bottom of the ninth. Zambrano and Lowe both throwing gems. Cubs tied it in the ninth and pulled out the win in the 10th. Tough loss.

Some how that becomes, "For the second night in a row, they choked away a late game lead against Chicago. " Guess you did not get a chance to watch any of the games.
