Don't know how much gas is left in the tank for Peppers ...

Peppers is most likely looking for a playoff team.

Peppers won't even be passing by KC.

true ..... we will have to appear to be movers and shakers this offseason so FA's will want to come and play here.

getting a respected new head coach will help

bringing in several big name free agents all really early in free agency so that we get the buzz.

Ends can play well into their 30s, he should have 4 or 5 more productive seasons. Or more. It's not like runningback. Strahan, for instance, played 15 years, and had some of his best seasons after the halfway point in his career, including 4 double-digit sack seasons (and another with 9 sacks).

It all depends on how much he wants to play, and how hard he works (neither of which I know...).

Peppers was on the decline until his contract year this year.

Some team is going to overspend on a guy who looks like a Jevon Kearse/Hugh Douglas type DE free agent bust.

Ok. I dont watch them often obviosuly, but I know at some point I saw him playing DE this year... maybe just a 43 set, or 34 over or whatever they call it.

In the mickle they go to a 4-man line.

This all stems from the gross rookie contracts we have been seeing the last few seasons.

A vet player now is seeing that ist rd picks are making way more than they are without having to prove himself in the league, and the vet thinks hes paid his dues so the good players that are in their 2nd or esp 3rd contracts wanna get the payday they "deserve" so to speak. So once they get paid I think theres a big risk that they kinda kick it back and maybe don't play as hard.

With a new capable coach (hopefully), a new capable GM and a good draft, who's to say the Chiefs can't pull an Atlanta?

Depends on if your name is Larry Johnson or Tony Gonzalez.
