It’s apples and oranges. Cassel wants a chance to start, end of story. Allen was a premier player at his position who was sick of playing for an awful team in the process of rebuilding. He demanded a trade to a contender, we complied cause we got picks to rebuild with. Cassel has played 15 games in the NFL. He may have the power to refuse a trade by not signing a contract, but there’s no chance he will refuse the first chance he gets to go start somewhere. The Patriots aren't going to be at his mercy like we were Allen's, they know he wants to start somewhere and if they want to trade him they'll take the best offer they can find, and Cassel will be giddy about it.
