I was just thinking this. I don't think there is a harder chin in fighting than Nogiueras. In both fights against Fedor he took some monster shots and shook them off.

Well this is a minor thing to argue about, so conceded.

It's true at any time a BJJ guy can finish, but it never looked to me like he was imposing his will in the position and the control battle. He was mostly reacting and staying alive.

It's similar to how a guy can be getting his ass beat the whole fight in striking but then land one well-timed shot on the other guys chin and he wins.

One of my favorite fights is Fedor vs Kevin Randleman, that guy looked like he was chiseled from stone. Randleman like suplexed Fedor, and somehow Fedor didn't get knocked out.

3 years ago he was recovering from a broken fibula in a motorcycle accident, when Mir is in shape he is hard to beat.

Nog said he displaced his knee several times during the Mir fight. And anyone that follows Nog knows he is not one for excuses, so I believe him 100%. I also heard a rumor that he had a staph infection too. I hope Mir beats Lesnar and Nog beats Randy, so Nog can get that P.O.S. in the octagon again.

HERE i disagree. if he was in it for the money alone he would have signed with the UFC. he wants to fight THE BEST, he's said it himself many times(and reading this thread i will ask, what is sherdog??? i actually know just dont know that i have been there either) he didnt sign with the UFC because he didnt want a randy situation happening (a better fighter outside of the UFC and not having the power to fight them)
