Well, then he wouldn't miss tackles...he'd simply take the wrong angles on them and not be close to the play.

His pass rush is pretty decent. That's all he's good for. He missed at least one sack, maybe two, though. Of course they left about five sacks on the field.

He is exactly what Haley seems to be criticizing him for being: a freestyler. He makes some really good plays, but he makes some really bad ones too. A less athletic version of Lavar Arrington.

And all three are washed up. Leadership my ass. What a joke.

Our inside LBing leaves much to be desired, and DJ is the worst of the bunch. I hope to god we don't resign a guy that makes Demorio Williams look like a world beater. Another Carl 1st round bust.

Hines Ward is not a dirty player. I'm sick of that label placed on him by embarrassed LBs and DBs. The guy goes 100% intensity every snap, wants to hit you in the mouth, and takes every rover in the NFL's best shots every week only to dust himself off and smile. I only hope we could by some stroke of luck find a skill position player with his mentality. Personification of toughness/class/winning culture

I'm still holding out hope that Dwayne can develop into that kind of player (he obviously possesses greater natural talent, but intangibles? the jury's out) because there's no other career path I'd rather see him go down. Give me Hines Bowe over Dwayne Marshall anyday...

He showed why he has been riding pine. Same old shit, different game.

We spent quite a bit of time at the game griping about all of DJs misses. Then he got that sack by riding the back of another Steeler to get Big Ben and were like HOLY SHIT, that couldn't have been DJ he has missed all day. I guess even a broken clock gets it right twice a day.

I said after the second game of the season that it would take 6 or 7 games before we started to see him begin to improve as he struggled with weight loss, technique and a new scheme.

Throw out the game he missed to injury, and it appears he is right on the pace I said he'd be on.

I expect he'll still have a couple of brain farts here and there, but by the end of the season, he should have allayed most concerns.

I hope by the end of the season he's left us no doubt that he is our LT. We need that and we need to know that.

Hines Ward is a Grade-A douchebag, but he is not dirty.

Shouldn't you be taking a few years off until the Chiefs are decent?

I hear the J E S T S are looking for fans with the recent collapse.

You can still get that Sanchez fluffer gig.

Unthinkable, Sir. UNTHINKABLE I SAY!

The guy that stood out to me and was always making a play was McGraw #47. He gets there AND he tackles. Without even trying, I counted 5 missed tackles by DJ.

Both the Jags game and this one, they should have 10 more sacks than they do. Seriously, these guys should practice playing flag football. Even our 10 year olds know how to break down and not overrun the QB.

Yeah I agree. McGraw has been pretty impressive. I think he's definately earned a roster spot next year.

Yeah, well I have a few observations on the post.

I don't think the Steel is any better or worse than most teams and how they play in the NFL. It's a tough balls-out game and not for the faint of heart.

--Pope scored after the Steel DB failed to hand off the skinny post WR, took the bait and left Pope unattended.

--Charles had a good game, but to me, took too many huge hits. He won't last long doing this.

--Something happened with the Mojo on the team. Call it new chemistry, believing in the mission or a 'Coming to Jesus' moment. Something is different here and it could be a good thing.

@SD this Sunday will confirm or deny the above point.
