Well gee, with head up ass threads like this, and people who suddenly believe all sins of dumbassery by the Trifecta Of Fail are magically forgiven with a win in a 4-12 season, how could we NOT love it when the Chiefs win?

I'm joining the club. Give me second here to get my head up my ass......there!

Mi'm now wonna' wing awong with wou....

"WAWAWAWAWAWAWA...WIII WAN'T WEEEEEAAAAR WOUUUU...WAWAWAWAWAWAWA"!

Nobody wants you in their "club," you ****ing idiot bet welcher.

dude, this thread is a waste of time..some people are going to use every decision, game and play to find a way to discredit..it's the approach some choose to embrace, it isn't gonng change....it is what it is...

....that said, if and when the Chiefs do win a SB , that approach will make it anti climatic...it would be like dogging my daughter's choir for years, then being excited for her when they take first in State.

Why are many of your Chiefs comparisons often rooted in personal, familial relationships?

becxause they are people before they are players, because who they are is more important than what they are...

because many great teams have said they were like a family.

ESPN has tried to make this game about the individual, rather than team...ever hear married couple seeing themselves a team?

I don't think it's a coincidence that the biggest bashers don't have any children.

We're not a part of the team. We're fans.

My connection to the Chiefs--whatever the hell this means--will never remotely be on the same level as what I have with my family.

Frankly, I could care less what kind of people the players and FO folks are. I want results. It's a business, and I like high-quality products.

It's NOT personal in any respect.

Well I don't want to be in your club either, O' ye who can't pick talent worth a ****.

Your boy sucks. Sucks worse than even I could have ever imagined, and I can imagine quite a bit.
When it comes to Matt Cassel and Doomy3, I feel NO shame. None whatsoever. Never have, never will.
And if my presence annoys you, what more could I ask Jesus for?
Well, it appears my horse is off to a Wild Card, and shall not be the rook responsible for breaking a tradition set by Sirs Flacco and Ryan.

Well, perhaps since you don't have any self respect, you should at least follow the advice of all those you love to follow around. All of them said that a bet was a bet and you should honor it. You are a ****ing reerun.

It is for someone who considers himself a part of the franchise, and every criticism of it, a slight against him.

you don't care? BS..you about pissed your pants over what kind of person Haley should be after flipping a bird.
...it's a game..you call it a business, so you can claim it isn't personal, while you invest your personal time on a daily basis.

WilliamTheIrish 01-03-2010 10:00 PM

I used to feel that connection. When I was a kid and guys like Jim Tyrer and Mo Moorman would come to the Chiefs Huddle Club.

And I probably still have that connection for the old time players. In todays NFL, it's just cheering for laundry.

That is an excellent point stevie. If people are just result oriented who cares if they flip off George?

But alot of people including Deez were pissed when he did it as they should be.

So it is personal to some degree.

You can have a personal investment in wanting them to succeed because you care about the team. You needn't have a sycophantic parroting of the regime nor treat every criticism of it as a vicarious insult of your person.
