Al Saunders is in the same boat. Some guys just aren't head coaches.

Like he was even given a chance in Dallas. Jones is even on record stating that he made a mistake getting rid of Gailey so quick. Besides, there are plenty of guys that just arent head coaches that keep getting shots. Hell Norv Turner certainly fits that description, and not only has he had 3 head coaching jobs, he just got an extension. I would take Gailey over Turner, or Wade Philips any day of the week.

Wouldnt it be something if Chan and Nolan paired to win a championship in Buffalo?

I guess you missed the part of Nolan going to the Dolphins.

And I'd put the possibility of Chan Gailey going to a Super Bowl at 0.0%

I'm shocked some of you actually follow the NFL.

I knew that he wanted to interview for their job and that was the reason he essentially quit, but I didnt know he had already signed there.

I wasnt saying it would happen, just that it would be kinda funny to have 2 coordinators that us and denver couldnt make work with our head coaches and to have them win elsewhere.

Gailey=Championship!

Nolan took Denver from one of the worst defenses to #7 in one year... how did he not make it work?

Enh, it's a deceiving stat... much like the 6-0 start was deceiving.

After the bye week, the defense and the team fell apart.

Denver did rank:

7th in yards allowed (315 ypg) compared to 29th in 2008 with 374.6 ypg
12th in PA (20.2 PA) compared to 30th in 2008 with 28 PA

Yes, overall they improved, but the final 10 games were more like 2008.

My argument would be - who cares? Nolan was working with scraps on the defensive line. It was year one of a total defensive overhaul...he did a good job on short notice and deserved another year to see if he could take it to the next level.

McDaniels should fire himself....his offense was shit.

He was handed a secondary that basically had an average age in the mid 30's and an undersized DL.

Shocked, absolutely shocked, I tell you that the defense fell apart.

Looney said on his Twitter that Gailey will be the OC as well. Funny.

I don't know that I'd ever want Gailey as a HC, but as an OC, he's gotten more production out of crap than a lot of the more highly touted offensive minds out there.

He's a bit too conservative for me, but the fact remains, he's a pretty effective OC.

Ralph Wilson is Al Davis East.

Go ahead and talk to Buck about Norv Turner. I can't even begin to describe how bad of a coach he is.

Gailey's better than Turner and Philips? WOW!!!! WHAT A GREAT COACH!

For what it's worth, I can name several coaches that would be better than those two. I can also name better coaching candidates out there than Chan ****ing Gailey.

Leslie Frazier, for one, who as far as I know, did not turn down an interview with the Bills
