This thread has gotten ugly... Yay Anderson Cooper (remember the OP?) :)

IMO under no circumstance does hate justify hate. There's too much anger in the world anyway, no need to create some more. If someone treats you a certain way, that does not mean it is then justified to treat them the same way. But that's just my philosophy, IMO we could all benefit from some more love, peace and empathy.

We could all do some good by listening to some Bob Marley. :)

What Am I missing Zach...you broke out the numbers...are you saying the military has NOTHING to do with humanitarian aid?

I never said anything of the sort. Lets look clearly at what ive been responding too. First of all this all started because you said we should just nuke that country.

Lets just get that out there.

Then people started talking taxes with you because you made it sound like a disproportionate amount was going to something like the efforts in Haiti. Which it isn't...in the least.

I can honestly say that EVERYONE on the board (including Zach) would have done what Anders Cooper did given the circumstances. Remeber...He's being PAID to be there AND it made a GREAT story right? There's some seriously nasty stuff going on there that's not being shown on TV...

No I'm not...Do you know what a "straw man" is? I've personally dealt with assholes who create them and they are not fun people to deal with.

Nobody is ****ing saying that. But the idea that this aid is more the smallest percentage point in the US MILITARY budget is crazy.
