Are you really defending Cromartie?

No not really but to act like he's the only CB in the world that's ever done that is funny as well.

CB's are generally awful tacklers, there's a few exceptions. Also San Diego needs to do something about it's secondary coaching they have 3 1st round CB's and none of them are as good as they should be.

But, he just stood there. He didn't even make an attempt.

Jammer took a while, but he's developed into a good corner.

I'm sorry, it never dawned on me in the slightest that someone would assume I made these images myself. For one thing, I had no idea how widespread these pics may have been when I posted them. For another, WTF do I care about Antonio Cromartie to make a bunch of gifs and whatnot?

I did think to include the explaination of where they came from in the original post, but ultimately came to the conclusion -- correctly, in my opinion -- that it would be funnier with just the "lolz" and the pics. And since it was inevitable that someone would ask where they came from, I could just explain it at that time with no harm done to anyone.

With that said, though, I am confident that I would have included a link to the originating post at the Chargers' forum. If it hadn't been, you know, deleted.

He used to get tons of P.I. calls for being too agressive but the man loves to hit.
I pretty sure if Jammer or Cason were in Cro's position they would have tried to take his head off.

Cromartie can't cover for shit either. So uhhhhh he's worthless. And he's the guy you wanted the Chiefs to be able to draft.

And lots of corners are good tacklers. In fact if you look at the top corners right now they are ALL good tacklers.

Nnamdi, Revis, Woodson, Flowers, etc. All guys that have no problem coming up to make the stick. The days of the pussy tackling corner are generally over. Sorry, swing and a miss. Cromartie just sucks in pretty much every way.

Al Davis agrees that Cromartie was a great draft pick

Just another example of how Mecca gets wrapped up in "athletes" instead of football players.

Mecca ='s Al Davis when it comes to the draft.

Cromartie is just another example of why you don't draft athletes, you draft football players. Athletes will have those big years now and then, but they are few and far between. Football players who play at a high level do so consistently. Guys like Ray Lewis and Zach Thomas didn't measure out on the scale or height or 40 as good as a lot of guys, but they were awesome FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Not some ridiculous athlete who has no football instincts or cares about the game. Those guys generally don't last for very long no matter how talented they are from an athletic stand point.

Is Tyson Jackson a great football player then?

He was in college. It's too early to say as a pro.

What you're saying is that the Chiefs should draft players that succeed in the NFL, then? :spock:

Yeah that'd kind of be the plan. However talking about what Tyson Jackson is or isn't right now is pretty stupid.

You missed it. You're basically saying the Chiefs should draft great football players that will succeed in the NFL instead of just great athletes.

No. ****ing. Shit.
