We own a house in independence. It's gonna be tough. We may have to rent down there till we sell this house.
The job is giving us relocation expenses, ut not a ton.

We hadn't given Wimberly much thought because the people we were with said it was all Houston oil money there, so we assumed we'd be priced out.

If you don't get bites on your house, you can always rent it out. That is what we had to do with ours.

I'm not sure ... that may be the case now, a few years back it was a decent mix... but worth checkin out at least. Otherwise Kyle and Buda are both good choices and super convenient... I would stick to north for convenience or west for beauty... east is crap and south is closer to San Antonio which is blah.

I live here for school. It's not bad. New Braunfels/Canyon Lake area is nice and of course Austin/SA. The bars recently changed to stay open until 2am...so that's nice.

I think, other than New Braunfels, that was our frame of mind. We flew in and out of Austin, so we saw the highwY view of most of those places.

my inlaws are thinkin of movin here. i tell somewhere between newbraunfels and dripping springs. i recommend staying west of I35 as well. the lake s. of hancock is canyon lake

Wimberley is a little too country for me but I had a positive impression when I was there.

A management company. They did all of the screening and are on hand to take care of any property emergencies since we are 3 hours away.

How do you find a management co.? (I wouldn't even know where to look in the yellow pages)
