When did Tony ever offer to take less pay so that the Chiefs could put more money on the table for other players?
When did Fitzgerald not dedicate his offseason to improving as a player to persue other interests?

When did Fitzgerald ever hold out?

When did Fitzgerald ever say publicly that he wanted to be traded?

Why would he have to-the Cheaps have the rock bottom lowest payroll in any sport-(except the lowly Roayls).

Why would the Best TE of All Time have to take a discount??

Cardinals “optimistic” about Fizgerald negotiations

Cardinals G.M. Rod Graves says he’s optimistic by nature. That’s why he’s so sunny about a potential contract extension for wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald when there isn’t a lot of reason to think they will get one done by March 4.

“Obviously the window is getting shorter in terms of being able to close something before the end of the [league] year,” Graves said Friday via the team’s official website. “We will see what happens over the next week or week-and-a-half. Again, the objective is to extend his deal.”

Graves confirmed that negotiations were ongoing, but it doesn’t sound like a deal is imminent.

Fitzgerald represents the top of the Cardinals roster.

You have to have good WR's, for sure. But you don't build the team around them. There are plenty of great WR's like Moss, TO, Cris Carter, Tim Brown, Steve Largent... didn't win squat. Everybody thought the Steelers were going to go downhill without Santonio Holmes, they ended up going to the Super Bowl without him. Jerry Rice is obviously an exception, but he's Jerry Rice. Of course Fitzgerald might end up being better than half the guys listed there, but even then that won't be enough.
