Stanzi may change his jersey number then.

Hope he doesn't. 13 is my favorite number. He could have taken 12, his college number.

The season hasn't started, and here's an idiot posting that he hopes the team tanks.

The facepalm gif isn't big enough.

I used to think this way when we had the great QB battle between Damon Huard and Tyler Thigpen. But now, we have a solid young team that is capable of winning each time they step onto the gridiron. The NFL media has hammered it into everyone's heads that you MUST have a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning to win a Super Bowl. Yeah those QBs are gonna win Super Bowls. But I don't think it's impossible to win with a QB that can, at the very least, manage a game by not making a lot of mistakes.

With a good running game and defense, you can still win in this league.

Do some of you believe that success is not a smooth road? that you will encounter a few bumps along the way with a few setbacks.

Do some of you fail to understand that I care more about the teams long term success than I do about now?

Absolutely not. **** that noise. It's one thing to be optimistic about failure, it's another to actually wish your team to fail in the future. If we're 0-15 I'm still rooting to win that last game.

Like I said, you don't win by losing. Shitty teams worry about stupid shit like that. Good teams worry about winning.

So what exactly is the point of your thread other than to stretch "I hate Cassel" into a short story?

To draft a quarterback in the EARLY rounds to help better our chances of success.

To point out that we are going nowhere with Cassel and we are better off making changes even if it means setting ourselves back with a losing season and getting a QB who could potentially be great.

To imply that I want my team to win a superbowl in the future. And that will only happen by drafting an elite QB and getting rid of Cassel.

My thread is based more on hope than anything. People are just taking it the wrong way.

RedThat chose to keep his doubts suppressed for awhile. What you're seeing here is the releasing of that anger he's been keeping hidden deep down for a long time.

You'll be fine, RedThat. Try drinking a nice hot cup of Ricky Stanzi. It will take the edge off.

Its been awhile since we had a grown man come right out and say that he would love to take a "load" off a football player...

I guess GoChiefs was the last that I remember...

Make sure you take a towel with you...

:D

FYI, its a joke, since you suck at sarcasm...

You do realize that even if we somehow go 3-13......Cassel would still be our starting QB next year? Unless he completely shits the bed and throws 40 INTs and 2 TDs.....they're not cutting bait. They'll blame it on our pass protection and you would watch this team take a LT with the #1 pick.

I don't believe that. It is very rare that you win a SB without an elite QB.

I want an elite QB. Not game managers.

We do have a lot of talent. At a lot of positions. But how shameful would it be to see it go to waste because all along we knew we didn't have the QB to take us to the top?

That is where Im getting at. Id just like to see us add to the puzzle and I feel that quarterback is the key ingredient were missing. If we have a losing season it may be worth it and increase our chances of landing that guy who can be an "elite" QB in this league.

Carlota69 08-29-2011 01:57 PM

I could never ever imagine wishing for The Chiefs to lose, EVER. Even if it was the end of the season and we were 1-14, vying for the 1st pick, and I was vocal about wanting them to lose so we could get the top pick, Id find myself rooting for them to win during the game.

Rooting for The Chiefs to lose IS NOT in my blood. Period.

You don't have a team. Not this one, anyway. You're infatuated with a hypothetical team that doesn't even exist.

and you know without any doubt that you can draft that Elite QB?

And if you draft that Elite QB and he fails? You have wasted the talent of this team just the same...

:doh!:

Ah, okay. Let's tank an entire season in the hopes that Luck ends up being good in the NFL AND that the Chiefs are smart like you and draft him.

1. Your jokes suck. So do you. You should probably stop trying to be funny.

2. What you just posted isn't sarcasm. "Since you suck at sarcasm" has absolutely nothing to do with your bad joke.

3. If you wanted to make a gay joke, there are about 453,834 different ways you could have worded it better. Again, you suck at humor.
