God, the entire draft last year excited me. Almost every pick.

Really, really like the Turbin pick. Heard an interview with him earlier in the week, and now I'm actively hoping we can snag him at some point. Charles, Hillis, and Turbin = **** YES.

Love Turbin...I will admit that I didn't know about him at all during the regular season, but since the draft information/highlights have hit, he has been one of my wish list guys for KC.

I don't know on Mercilius. He does have the burst you want, but he's not strong enough...and not strong enough by quite a bit, right now. I don't know if he is enough of a value to take at 11. How many plays would he get next season if he's rotating with Houston and Hali? Is he an upgrade to either of those two guys? I don't think so.

Turbin will be gone late 3rd or early 4 we can trade down 4 to 5 spots and still get who ever Pioli covets in the first round hell we could probably trade twice in the first and still end with Hightower or Mercilus really like to get an extra 3rd rd pick/picks this draft Turbin would be one of my choices if that were to happen dont think he will be there when we pick in the 4th though

Concur.

Those extra third to fourth round picks produce, "backbone of the team" kinds of players, neither boom nor bust guys. There are terrific players being projected in the twenties in the first round as well. I don't see a huge drop off in talent from 12 to 28 or so. Just different systems and needs.

If Whitney Mercilus lives up to his potential, he could be one Hell of a pick. I have him going after 16, but he's an intriquing prospect, who has huge upside potential. The pass rush is so damn sexy.

I've seen several mocks with Mercilus going #18 to the Chargers. That would suck.
