Not to be obnoxious, but the Rays have been a pretty good team to watch tonight. If the Royals ever become a perennial contender in MLB, this is what they'll look like. The Royals are closer now than they have been in recent history, but it's the little things that matter.

I think the Royals will be better offensively in power and average but have to compensate for some failed/delayed pitching prospects by pursuing some in free agency.

I just saw the clip of that out at the plate. The runner beat the throw, but Perez got him anyway. He stuck that leg out there like it belonged to someone else, and kicked that guy out of there. No fear.
