As stated in the OP I didn't make the poll public so lurkers wouldn't be afraid to vote. I want them to vote.

I think it's interesting that people sign in and read topics yet refrain from posting their opinions. I guess it's kind of like they would rather not get a taste of it out of fear of becoming addicted and joining the rest of us that aren't as productive at times as we could be :)

I don't think it's just about building post count when you say "+1" or "this" or something similar. Yeah it builds your post count but it also helps recognize statements people have and let's them know they have views and opinions that are shared and/or respected by others.

Most true lurkers don't have a lot of incentive to log in at all. If you're not gonna talk, you don't care about 99% of your options, you don't need PMs, you don't care about rep, etc.

CP is a special place for special people. A lot of intelligent posters... a lot of idiots. A lot of mix up between the two. Some people won't tell the cops what they saw and won't post on CP.

I get that. Just an informal poll that means nothing except to satisfy my curiosity. Once it's satisfied it goes back to meaning nothing.
