Terry Metcalfe was the original.

In fact, you could say that without Terry Metcalf, Eric Metcalf never would have made it in the NFL.

THe fact that we haven't seen Tanney might suggest they like him. Giving him face time would only attract some team to claim him. They might want him as a practice squad player.

Why Tanney?

Copper and Studebaker are on their way out. Both are going backwards. Maybe not first cut, but I think they will work younger players into both of their spots.

Not a chance, did you hear after it was said that Hali would be suspended for game 1 that Studebaker would replace him ? Copper is a really valuable special teams player, maybe next year for both, but not this year.

Congrats DMC on winning the 4th WR spot!

Saw this on rotowire and thought you'd enjoy:

"McCluster was Matt Cassel's favorite target for the game, leading the Chiefs with nine looks his way, and he appears to be very comfortable operating out of the slot. It's beginning to look more and more plausible as he gains chemistry with Cassel that McCluster could actually supplant veteran Steve Breaston as the team's No. 3 receiver this year."

Jalil Brown after that performance. Obviously i'm not being serious, but god he was awful.

I agree with this, McCluster whether its a 5, 6, or 7 yard gain he gets per catch, thats still called moving the chains. We are better off with him in the slot. Sure him and Breaston might split time, might not, Breaston might come in off the bench to supplement D-Bowe and Baldwin and we just focus and rely on McCluster in the slot.

McCluster is the best slot receiver through the preseason. Breaston is more of a #1 or #2 receiver.
