Where is the post game press conference with Romeo saying he doesn't understand how we could suck this bad?

kcxiv 11-02-2012 12:45 AM

i cant find a press conference. KCchiefs.com cut it down to under a minute. ****ers.

OP is missing the 2009 season opener, BTW.

We lost by 14, and were dominated in total yards.

Make no mistake, that was a blowout of sorts. Only thing that kept it close was a blocked punt and an INT return. Team was dominated.

The team has (arguably) been soft going back as far as 1999 (when I moved here, I didn't watch them closely before that). It's amazing how many old school coaches, and how many defensive coaches, have come through here, but none of them have been able to turn this franchise into a knock-you-on-your-ass kind of team. They just get physically dominated. It happened under Goonther, it happened under Vermeil when they ran a finesse offense but struggled in late game short-yardage (and just got obliterated on defense...), it happened under Herm and Haley, and now they're even softer now under Crennell. It just boggles the mind. Sometimes, going back at least that far, it just seems like there's no pride, no heart, no desire, just guys out there getting paid to play a game. Which makes it really difficult as a fan. And it's worse now than it's ever been, even after overhauling so much of the roster since 2008.

The two things I learned from Browns fans were:

A) Inmates ran the asylum.

B) Soft ass football team.

Haley actually put some toughness in this team, IMO. Firing him was the right move, but made us worse because Crennel is awful.

The majority of Browns fans knew Quinn was a total bust when we dumped him. He's gone on to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt our estimation of his talent level was correct. I haven't seen enough of Cassell to comment on his (lack of) talent- but if he got benched in favor of Quinn, he has to suck beyond belief.

Fear not- your consolation prize is going to be the pick of the litter qbs in the 2013 draft.

How's the QB "controversy" working out for you guys? Crennel going to Quinn was hardly surprising given all the negativity surrounding Matt Cassell but I don't think either QB is the answer. (Just as neither Quinn nor Derek Anderson were the answer when Crennel couldn't decide between them when he coached the Browns.)

Crennel is so bad I miss Haley. I never even wanted Haley here.

I remember posting the comments from a former Patriot who attended training camp with the Browns.

And I remember getting ATTACKED with stuff like "he was only there for a couple days, how would he know?"

Obviously he DID know because this team is EVERY BIT as soft as those ****ing Browns teams.

Crennel makes me long for Herm and Frank Ganz

Hermy had the team better prepared than this shit.

I disagree about firing Haley as the right move. I agreed at the time, but now that we know the rest of the story, I would have kept him. Isn't 20/20 hindsight a wonderful thing?

FYP

A 14 pt deficit is not a blow out.

I'd say 17 is close. Certainly 20.

Just about all of these qualify.

Well done, Scott.
