So the guy with all of that experience is a "prisoner of the moment" when it came to hiring a new Head Coach. Even though a fellow like John Elway, as the VP of Football operations, with no NFL FO experience, has the business acumen to remove the reigning GM, sign the most sought after free agent of the year and trade away the starting QB who is seen by some in the fanbase as a legitimate hero. Pioli's job is to get that elite level quarterback. Time after time, season after season--nothing. With that in mind he's fail. He's incapable of success because he won't let go of Matt Cassel.

That being said, I have seen some high school teams who could win the AFC west. It's no big prize. At this point whoever gets it is more than likely one and done.
