actually no - it's intent wasn't to be funny. It was directed by David Lynch. It's supposed to make you say 'WTF' and then maybe laugh about just how odd it really was.

Have you ever been inbetween sleep + conscious/awake? I think the thoughts are the goals of his films, if I had to describe him. He did the Twin Peaks series, and I'm not sure if you've heard of it, either.
