I'd love to get Reid and a DC that would bring an attacking 3-4 to the table.

you apparently forget Clancy Pendergast

then Romeo

then demoted Romeo to Gary Gibbs

3 DCs in 4 years

just like the 4 OCs in 4 years.

It's awful GMing/hiring/demoting anyway you look at it. Bunch of Pats tree nonsense and there is no valid argument that any of it is good for business

I don't care what he says you can tell how unprepared his team was this year that he needs some time off.

Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL and we'd be damn lucky to have him. He'd be great for geno smith.

TribalElder 12-30-2012 10:32 PM

Please No. Reid is fawkin fail

This. I'm not liking the thought of him here

We need an attacking 34 D. I hate this zone soft coverage shit. We had Carr who was a good press corner. Should of kept him along with flowers and attack more and we would be ok

I don't know. I don't think he is married to a defense.

The question is if morninweig can win with a true qb. Morninweigs a good coach but hes not an oc hire that at all excites me.

The OP poster already clarified in a second post that Mornhinweg would now come with him...

While I don't mind Reid, I feel the game may have passed him up. Eagles fans have been so tired of his constant boring OL/DL first round picks, and his inability to change offensive or defensive philosophies.

Add in his off the field family issues, and its a very risky hire.

**** Reid, Cowherd and Ariens. I'd take Gruden maybe.

My concerns with him would be:

Ability to hire a good enough staff
Reluctance to run the ball when it's needed to balance a gameplan
Age
Would he want to change the defense to a 4-3

Positives
He would be a proponent to resigning Albert and Bowe long term and he would want a quarterback with that top pick and he did wonders with McNabb.

I'd be perfectly fine with the hiring of Andy Reid...but I prefer Arians or Cowher if they are interested.

This. Reid needs a year off because of the death of his son. I don't know if he will ever be the same coach. I would rather have Arians or Jay Gruden, but especially Cowher. I would even consider Cowher for HC/GM.

Reid will be heading down to bazoka's to give mustache rides

I'd be ok w/Andy Reid. The guy was great most of his career w/the Eagles. No coach can last more than 10 years in the NFL w/the same team. I saw the same thing here with Coughlin. Then he leaves, gets a fresh start and 2 Super bowls.

Plus I'd definitely put that guy in the 'innovative' offensive minded side. He's not afraid to try new stuff.

Reid is a good football coach that just burned out in Philly.

Chiefs could do much worse.

This is how I feel. Reid probably wouldn't top my list, but I think he's a good coach that can undo a lot of the damage that Haley and Roleo did.

I think Reid will build another winner.

In58men 12-30-2012 10:43 PM

Andy Reid looks like Lorax

AussieChiefsFan 12-30-2012 10:43 PM

Not too bad along with Geno.
