If we draft Joeckel and let Albert walk, the Chiefs transformation into the Royals will be complete. When you go 2-14, you make moves to get much better very quickly. Drafting Joeckel will be a move purely to save money. Unless Joeckel is an all-pro right out the gate, he isn't going to win us any more games.

No doubt. However, he was one of the early and consistent ones in mocking Geno to KC and he's switched to Joeckel.

They also bought into the Alex Smith trade rumor hook line and sinker. Bit on it. HARD.

It still might be true, but that's no reason to completely change your board based on a rumor that's 100% unsubstantiated at this point
