Good news man.

At least they're not hanging you out to dry and putting it off for months.

well the surgeon came in and said there were some dental issues they wanted to take care of first so apparently I have to have some oral surgery first

Thats actually a good sign. I'm assuming its because when they intubate you for the surgery they want an easier path to get the job done, correct? If so, they don't feel rushed and are real comfortable with a successful outcome.

I know it sucks and you can't keep from worrying. Nothing we can say will prevent that. But, trust me, after 9 years of working with some seriously ill patients in hospitals, this is a serious but routine surgery and you will be back on your feet real soon.

Goddamn. You're going to be the 6 million dollar man before this is over. :D.

BRC is right though. If it had to happen now, there would be no oral surgery.

I told my boy I'm going to be Iron Man when this is over. :)

Just don't **** up Bentleys and Shelbys while you get the feel for the stabilizers.

"So yeah, I went in for a heart procedure, but came out with a new set of false teeth." You may want to look to another hospital..... :D

Best of luck, JDid. We're all pulling for you.

So it looks like it's going to be tomorrow on the heart. It's going to be a mechanical valve and they have to fix the aorta that has widened.

How's the hospital food? I bet KU has some decent stuff.

After surgery, do what the nurses tell you to do and it will help your recovery. They'll probably have you up walking around surprisingly soon.
