From what I understand it is Shields. He can only do so much, ultimately it is in Yost's hands.

All teams miss on prospects. It comes down to the player.

Now you are just being dumb. Prospects touted by everyone out of "one of the best farm systems" ever. Missing on this many prospects in this short of time? **** off.

If i remember right, Is it Moustakas that doesn't watch film of his at bats? Right there is a red flag on him.

Yes, they did....and I said at in the offseason and at the beginning the problems were not just pitching.....they should have acquired more veteran bats with pop and replaced FAILcour and Getz. Going into the year relying purely on Hosmer and Moose to develop was asinine.

Keeping Francour is beyond belief for me. Embarrassing he is still a starter.

Maybe a coach hasn't insisted on him doing it. That is a red flag right there. These are young kids in the majors, they must be taught how to do it right.

A player should wanna do this without a coach telling him.

KcMizzou 05-26-2013 05:53 PM

The problems are a lot bigger than Yost. But he sure doesn't help himself by being a surly asshole. (until this past week, where the team's gone in the tank, and he seems to be trying to make nice with the media.)

Agreed, sounds like he wants to fix the problem on his own which obviously isn't working.

And a young player needs to be shown the difference in work ethic between the minors and majors. If not, why have coaches? You act like players know everything and that the step from minor to majors is nothing. What works for you in the minors, might need to be adjusted at the majors. That isn't for the player to figure out.

dick thread - Yost isn't the issue. I love that man.

ShowtimeSBMVP 05-26-2013 06:00 PM

Owner should of never let Dayton Moore trade Wil Myers( I don't care how bad he looks right now) 2 years of James Shields not worth it. Adding a James Shields doesn't make the Royals a playoff team to many good teams in AL.

Is that the guy from Remember the Titans? Because I liked him a lot.
