What was he supposed to do? You have to go for it in that situation. When you're facing a dominate pitcher like Darvish, you have to try and score at every opportunity. They still had to make a damn good throw to get him.

Belly is the only every day player that isn't a catcher that would have scored on that fly ball.

Maybe slide deep toward the backstop head first instead of straight in to the tag?
