I think safeties will play a huge role in this game so I'm going with 4 - 2 Chiefs :D

I feel about this game the way I did when we played the Dolphins when they were a hot mess a couple years ago. In that case Matt Moore came in and lit it up early and had us on our heels. If we avoid making Gabbart looking like a Pro Bowler then I think we absolutely crush the Jaguars in every phase of the game.

We score 26. They score 10.

Honest question. Have these words ever been spoken before in the history of Blaine Gabbart career?

Is that your real thoughts or trolling lol. How do you see this game unfolding?

20-16 Jags or some other form of hell.

We will actually outgain the Jags but bog down in the red zone due to Alex's ineptness.

Only Maurice Jones drew scares me. Human bowling ball. If we can shut down the run and get a lead, I think they will fall apart.

Yep. Ol' Alex "Gannon" ain't going to be hitting any quick strikes in the red zone...

No Blackmon (which is no big deal), Monroe is their best player if Drew isn't 100% which is most likely not coming off the lisfranc, and their QB situation is crap with Gabbert cleared for starting duties but he hasn't thrown due to a broken thumb. Rookie at RT. Maybe the worst offense in the NFL.

Jags on defense:

MOB Posluszny is the best player on this unit. They can't put any pressure on the QB and can't stop the run. They are starting a rookie at FS and CB. Maybe the worst defense in the NFL.

Jags coaching:

Bradley is a first year HC who is a former defensive coordinator. This is the first time he's ever been a head coach at any level (with the exception of four months of fill in time at Fort Lewis College).

The Jags are arguably the worst team in football all things considered. They are starting completely over and are missing most pieces with the exception of a decent OLT.

The Chiefs should absolutely steam roll the Jags.

34-10. And I think that's being generous.

Cecil Shorts is no joke though. He has to be accounted for.

The only reason the concept vaguely entered my mind is that the only pre-season game I saw him play in he had a passer rating of 130.5. Reminded me of the Matt Moore game where he came in and lit up the Chiefs.

Provided KC doesn't have an epic collapse in the first half I think we will destroy them.

Typo in original post -- 36-10 is my prediction.

Yeah I saw that game vs. the Jets. He looked like a surgeon in that one drive. Preseason defense though. Or he could break out against us lol.

Chiefs were solid against the run in pre-season, not that it means much. Take away Frank Gore's broken play run for 54 and they gave up an average of just over 3 ypc -- the longest runs coming from QBs. I think they shut the guy down.

i'd be nervous if they had blackmon....mjd, blackmon, shorts is a nice group of skill players

I'm concerned that our run blocking is going to suck balls.

Rain Man 09-01-2013 08:17 PM

Wow. I had no idea that they'd moved Joeckel to right tackle.

mlyonsd 09-01-2013 08:17 PM

31-10.
