THIS for sure. One of the few, consistent threads that make CP worthwhile.

I have a question about one (of the many...:D) Charles TD's. One of the TD's he gave the ball to someone in the stands. Was that a Chief fan? Surely he didn't give it to a Raider Fan. Unless it was a kid Raider fan.

Sorry to hear that GB, didn't you lose another pet earlier this year? :deevee:

9. If you're going to lay a butt kicking on somebody, what could be better than laying it on the FADE? The weird thing is, this was a four point game deep into the third quarter. They basically just managed to play even with KC in the second and third quarter, but KC's fast start, and fourth quarter dominance was ultimately the difference.
It sure felt good to beat them up but boy that third quarter had me feeling we were going to blow it. They took all the momentum but that fantastic throw and great 70 yd run by Charles was the DAGGER! Smith and Charles played A+

8. Jamaal Charles had the kind of day that puts you into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
It's going to be hard to keep him out if he has another 2-3 years of this or more. :thumb:

7. You'd think the FADE had never seen a screen pass before. If there is something that is unsettling, it's that this game became a four point contest in the third quarter. Nice block by Junior Hemmingway to spring Charles too.
They were 20 feet away with 1-2 guys on each of those screens. They defended those screens as poorly as Washington did their special teams next week.
It's good to catch little nuggets of team play and notice a guy like Junior doing great stuff all the time. I really like him.

6. Was how bad KenDICK Lewis is. Not only does he have a pick six hit him square in the hands, and drops it, but then he goes all Dwayne Rudd and rips his helmet off on the playing field, which is a penalty. Raiders get a first down, Playing stupid is the hallmark of the FADE.Look for KenDICK Lewis to be elsewhere next season. Hell, he might make a good Raider!
As soon as Kendrick Lewis pulled that complete bonehead play, I was thinking of you GB and how you must have been screaming at your TV. I just don't get it with this guy and what Dorsey and Reid see in him. What the hell has he done POSITIVE? I can't find anything.....: :banghead:

5. Alex Smith was 17 for 20 for 287 and 5 TDs while spreading the ball to eight different guys. Nice TD by Duck Dynasty, and how about Knile Davis?
  • Alex Smith is throwing the ball great in my mind and all the haters on this board like Clay can go suck it! Geno Smith is 10 steps below Alex. That throw to Jamaal was PERFECT!
  • All Duck Dynasty does is catch the ball. I like him the best of all out TE's and he can improve his blocking with help
  • Knile Davis is getting better and gaining more confidence each week and he could be a BEAST with Charles. What a tandem we have!

4. Defense: Well, it's a mixed bag. No sacks, But you can't argue with FIVE PICKS. How about Eric Berry? His open field ability is very good.
In reality the defense was closer to poor-we are hemorrhaging yards and giving up nearly 500 yards on a weekly basis. While our guys made some great reads and interceptions, we seem to keep relying on turnovers to pull our ass out of the fire. We scored 35 points off Oakland's TOs and that is never going to happen all the time or to that level. Our D needs to step up big time.
Eric Berry, Derrick Johnson, and Tamba Hali just do it week in and week out. They are the bedrock of our D and complete All Stars

3. Andy Reid may not be good at clock management, but the sucker is great at challenges.
Our team in the booth deserves a lot of credit. They assess things ASAP and tell Andy. I think he is 6 of 7 or 7 of 8 on challenges this year.

2. If we're going to look for things to bitch about special teams had kind of a bad day. Succop kicked off out of bounds early on. Taub got punked on a fake punt which shouldn't have happened, good call by the Raiders. Colquitt was OK, and special teams did force one fumble on the Reid challenge. Another problem was penalties.
  • Our returns and coverage were pretty good and I think someone missed their assignment on that fake punt because their was NO ONE out against the gunners on either side. I don't think Taub was trying to block the punt but maybe I am wrong.
  • Succop has kicked out of bounds about three times in the last few months and not sure what is wrong with him. He isn't getting enough FG attempts and I hope that doesn';t come back to bite us in their ass during the playoffs.
  • We have had an AWFUL season with penalties and it continued yesterday. They seem to keep coming at the worst times, like 3rd and 15 to continue drives for opponents or after we pick up a vital first down to kill our drive. Got to clean those up fast!

1. The Chiefs are in the playoffs. It's not out of the realm of possibility that we win the division, but I don't see the Donks losing to this bunch of silver and black losers, or to Houston. Finally, I'm going to put this game on DVD and enjoy it for a long time.
  • Hard to believe we are one year removed from last's years ClusterF*** and stand at 11-3 going to the playoffs. Imagine if we win out and Denver did lose a game, we would be the #1 SEED! I don't see Denver losing to either team but both are road games.
  • That DVD is just like porn! You can enjoy it over and over again! :D

Well George, just like a broken record you've pretty much summed up everything very well as your usual self and can't really disagree with anything. :bravo:

Keep up the good work and enjoy the game next week as I am sure you will have some great photos for us.

Thanks and have a great week!

BTW-I'm going to be trying the Arthur Bryant's sauce you sent me this week-I'll report back

Not only does he have a pick six hit him square in the hands, and he -of course- drops it, but then he goes all Dwayne Rudd and rips his helmet off on the playing field, which even casual fans knows is a penalty. Raiders get a first down, burn Cooper, burn Zombo on a DPI, and score. That's a 14 point turnaround. That will kill you in the playoffs. Playing stupid is the hallmark of the FADE. As a fat jolly guy once said around here... ELIMINATE BAD FOOTBALL. The difference between that fat jolly guy and the new fat jolly guy on the sideline is the new fat jolly guy has a buddy named Dorsey who WILL NOT tolerate crap like this. Dorsey's only had one year to work on personnel. You can't fix stupid, and he knows that. Look for KenDICK Lewis to be elsewhere next season. Hell, he might make a good Raider! Play in question is here:
View My Video

I won't defend Lewis up to the point that I think he is good, but I don't think he went Dwayme Rudd on that play. From what I saw in the replay he unstrapped his helmet and because the damn thing is on so loosly, it bounced off his head. It didn't seem to me that he intentionally took his helmet off, which is why the rule is assinine in the first place.

Now is was still stupid to run off like that and even unstrap your helmet, but he didn't remove it, it bounced off.

Well, that's all you need to say. Everything else is pointlessly arguing to argue.

Great picture, though.

So THAT'S why he's still alive!

Mike Brisiel was a dirty, dirty bitch all day. Reminded me of Steve Wisniewski. Except Wisniewski had a slight bit of talent.

Every week i wonder why Kendick Lewis is on this team. He has dropped INt's-including an easy game killing pick 6 yesterday-then follows up with a tantrum that cost us another 7 points. WHY IS HIS ASS STILL PLAYING??

He has been slow in coverage-burned repeatedly and can't tackle worth a shit.

Lewis is one of those players that cost you big in the playoffs- he needs to be deactivated for the rest of the season.

All in all a Great win and an epic beatdown on the fade. Historic even!!

JC is becoming one of the greatest RB's in chiefs history- he amazes me every week!

I think you've mentioned how bad Kendrick Lewis is in every 10 Things this season LMAO

Speaking of safety play, there was something I wanted to talk about. In the game chat, there was a time during the Raiders' scoring run in the 3rd in which someone asked "where's our star safety? We haven't heard anything from him since the first half!!!"

The dude (Berry) had two INTs in the first half, one of which he put 6 on the board his damn self. Then we go a quarter without hearing his name and some people assume he's ****ing up. If you're not mentioning a guys name it likely just means he's doing his ****ing job.

I don't know why but that pissed me off.

Didn't we score 8 rushing touchdowns agaist the Michael Vick Falcons like 10 years ago?

I wish I didn't have to mention it week after week after week. Believe me.
I think he's actually gotten worse as he's gained more experience. I don't know why he is so slow. I also think he's afraid of contact because of his bad shoulders.

I think safety should be a big consideration in either free agency or the draft in 2014.

Oh, if Deron Cherry were only 25 years younger....

I got a chuckle out of the Chiefs fan yesterday who was trying to push the Raider player back out of the stands. I think it was the Raiders' first TD, or maybe the second, and the receiver jumped up into the stands. This fan was a bigger African American guy, and he reached over and tried to shove him back onto the field.
