If it was up to many on this forum KC would rebuild every single year and shoot for that coveted high draft pick.

We can not let Dwayne Bowe get away

I hope the Dolphins pay him big money some we get a 3rd round compensatory pick for his ass. Same for Assamoah. We are basically going to get the same pick for letting him walk as we would have had we traded him before last season.

Good point.

I wonder who's left in Miami to toughen him up a bit?

Think so, TBG?

Hard to ignore that Stephenson was superior to Fisher all year.

Honestly, Fisher flashed dominant ability at times. He was just really inconsistent in doing so and also messed up a lot.

Stephenson was just a whole lot more consistent like a more veteran player should be.

It all comes down to whether or not Fisher's experience last year and work this off-season has enabled him to develop a consistency in his level of play going into this season. I'm sure that Dorsey and the coaching staff are going to be betting on that.

Fisher came from a small school and we knew he'd be raw
We are in year 2 of a new CBA that dramatically cuts down on rookie practice time. Tough for a raw player who is also learning a totally new position
He was asked to play a position (RT) he was probably undersized to play. He needs to bulk up and he will benefit from a pro conditioning program, just as Poe did
He is better suited for the Left where he can use his athleticism and he doesn't need as much strength
He didn't seem to be healthy most of the season

I don't get the people who are so convinced he will be a bust. There are plenty of good reasons to explain why he struggled last year.

It is not considered "rebuilding" if you're confident in guys you drafted to replace your veterans.

Good post man. I think he's going to be just fine. I am convinced there is a bunch of fans who want to see him fail out of spite because we didn't draft and develop a QB with the #1 pick. It's pretty sad.

@caplannfl: Stephenson ready, draft or sign a G. But questions remain.RT @kcflatlander: @caplannfl big blow to Chiefs if both Albert and Asamoah go?

@caplannfl: Yes, DS to RT. RT @kcflatlander: @caplannfl Fisher to LT, that will be interesting

mcaj22 03-09-2014 09:56 PM

so like many predicted, the hole is going to be a Guard, more specifically RG

Fisher-Allen-Hudson-?-Stephenson

Now the argument is, draft or cheap FA vet journeyman on the cheap (ala last years Geoff Schwartz)

any FAs out there currently fit that mold

dont even give me some sort of crazy Rishaw Johnson can be the day 1 starter without any competition argument either.

Mother****erJones 03-09-2014 10:07 PM

I prefer to draft a guard. But not until round 4. Would love to spend the money on skill positions.

Mr. Laz 03-09-2014 10:12 PM

another possibility is if Kush wins the center job

Fisher-Allen-Kush-Hudson or Johnson-Stephenson

another Schwartz type FA
