Oil gets up to the crankshaft, and it ****s shit up in a hurry.

Friend of mine in high school had the dealership not refill it with oil. He drove a few blocks away before it shut down. He was telling me about it and said that he just had them put some in it and wet about his business. He was making jokes about it. I was appalled. Pretty good chance his motor suffered major damage. And he didn't even get them on the hook for it.

Always double check the dipstick before you start that bitch.

That's because the crank whips it into a froth and the oil pump won't pump it.

I'm going to go look at Subaru today. They seem like a very good value for the buck.

Make sure to wear your Birkenstocks, take plenty of granola bars, and bring your softball mitt.

The relatively new Impreza Crosstrek is getting a lot of love.

Seeing them everywhere all of a sudden.

I think they even came in with a Hybrid version this year.

I drove an Outback today and really liked it. Going to check out Ford Edge next.

My parents have an Outback that's a few years older but it's a great car. Nice interior, comfy seats that are heated, more power than you'd expect. I think it was the top of the line version for it's model year but they bought it a few years old. They throw two kayaks up on top and go wherever to get on some water.

Just bought a new chevy traverse suv yesterday. Love it. It had all the features and looks we wanted. And plenty of room for our tall family.

Wife wants an Acadia or enclave which I believe are all the same.

I had a Subaru Legacy. Awesome vehicle, though I'm a Nissan guy ATM.

But I HIGHLY recommend a Subaru.

DaFace and Mrs. DaFace drive Subarus. You might reach out to him on some ownership things on newer ones. I remember he mentioned one time that since they are AWD they are pretty finnicky with tire wear. I think he loves it but there might be something he can help you with.

Not to butt in on this, but I now have 65K on my original tires on my Forester and still have decent tread remaining. FWIW.

They also own Ferrari.

Much in the same way that Volkswagen owns Bugatti, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and Audi.

I don't think Ferrarri has a four-wheel drive, though, and gblowfish wants four-wheel drive.
