He played like 8 snaps though

The secondary depth is concerning. For a 7th round pick why the **** not?

They're definitely taking it easy with him but IMO, that's a good thing.

I still can't understand why there are people expecting Jamaal Charles to be the 2012 Jamaal Charles in Week 1.

I'm personally more concerned with the return of Charcandrick West. Ware is a very good running back but the combination of the two works much better. Plus, West is faster, a little better in the passing game and has some wiggle.

He was also the Chiefs leading rusher last year.

He might not have 100% confidence in his knee yet and they're just babying him along... I would be shocked if he didnt start week 1

They're not "babying" him, they're just not rushing him back.

12 months is really the time is takes for an ACL repair/replacement to completely heal and most guys can't return to form for 2 years.

Caution is a good thing, especially for a guy that plays a premium position that's difficult to fill.

I hope they don't take it easy with JC. Run him to death while he's here for probably his last year. He's got his money so use the hell out of him.

That's pretty silly, Dude. Teams shouldn't rush players back before they're ready and there's no guarantee that he'll ever return to form because he's 29 years old.

He needs to be a piece of the puzzle, not the puzzle itself.

That was damn near quotable, Dane!

Taking it easy on him, babying him along, it all means the same to me

I agree, he is too valuable to hurry... let him get back up to speed at his own pace

Gonna be interesting to see how they form this roster.

Peters
Gaines
Keivarre Russel
DJ White
Nelson
Acker

Berry
Parker
Sorenson
Murray

does Cooper make the final 53, too?

Russell hasn't lived up to the billing and White started out hot but has gotten progressively worse the last 2 games. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's growing pains.

BossChief 08-27-2016 07:08 PM

I think Russel hurt himself by not getting his contract sorted out sooner. He's probably behind the 8ball in learning his responsibilities.

Titty Meat 08-27-2016 07:17 PM

You could put a CP poster at the #2 CB and be ok if Houston comes back and the dline plays like they did today.

If Russell had been a 6th rounder instead of White, he'd be waived and placed on the PS.
