Interesting... a QB change makes a difference even if the entire team isn't playing well.

You taking notes, Baby Lee?

I don't recall benching Grbac. I recall him getting hurt with a dislocated shoulder. Am I thinking of a different season?

The team wants Mahomes to start but they can’t come out and say it and that is what is wrong and until that happens this team will be in a psychological funk until that quarterback change occurs.

You are correct. Grbac back went out due to injury Gannon comes in and this offense is just on fire but Marty believed in the you don’t lose your position due to injury regardless of the hot hand and that’s what kept us from going to the Super Bowl.

Yep! Robinson said as much last week. Paraphrasing here. He said something to the effect that we know what the problem is, but we are not allowed to say anything about it.

Look at Buffalo. Even if it ends up being the wrong decision, it could be the right one. The Bills started Peterman last week and he threw five interceptions. Taylor started today and played well. I'd start him next week and see what happens. If we lose and Mahommes plays bad, we are .500 and you give the job back To Alice and hope it motivates him.

I don't think a blind man would miss as many open receivers as Smith missed today

Clearly McDermott wasn’t going with Peterman long-term and I think clearly he was sending a message to Taylor to step up his game. Now with that said Mahomes is far more talented than Peterman and if you put Mahomes in there that is a whole different situation that you cannot reverse. Which is all right by me whether he plays bad or good because this season is done.

Did not know that. Interesting.

I think you could have still ran Mahomes out there at the half, or at any point in the second half today, and came back with "Alex is still our starter next week at the Jets" and almost had more credibility no matter what happened when Mahomes was in the game. Win, lose, or draw.

KChiefs1 11-26-2017 08:49 PM

The Pittsburgh game or the Dallas game.

Dude I am with you but the front office and Andy know just how lethal and heroin additive like Mahomes is to the Fanbase and if Mahomes throws two or three TDs in the second half and just lights Buffalo up and we win how in the world do you go back to Alex Smith at that point?

If that's why they didn't play Mahomes... what if he throws 2 or 3 TD's and we win... then Andy needs to go too!

Chiefshrink 11-26-2017 09:05 PM

Dungy just defended Alex Smith saying if he was Alex Smith he would go into Andy’s office and demand that Andy put him in a position to win games!

It was reported that Peters and Kelce left the locker room before reporters were allowed in for interviews. Might have been a good thing if they have lost faith in Smith.
