Hey, guess who lost a playoff game to Eli Manning in 2011? RIGHT, Aaron Rodgers!! For the record, he has also lost in the playoffs to Kurt Warner, Aaron Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Carson Palmer and Matty Ryan. But hey, none of them were Super Bowls, so they count less!!

Besides, even Aaron Rodgers disagrees.

Look the reality is that the NFL is a TEAM sport. No matter how many dumb fans want to say it's ALL about the quarterback, ti's not. It's MORE about the quarterback than any other position, but this isn't ****ing tennis. It's a TEAM sport.

Wow, it must be embarrassing to lose a playoff game to... uh, either a sports writer, lacrosse player or a film director.

Exactly. But Brady stans will find excuses to tell us why Aikman's wrong even though he lived it.

Brett Favre had one of his best seasons with Minnesota and fell off a cliff a year later. It can happen.

Oh, there is no question that the change nature of NFL rules has increased the longevity of NFL quarterbacks -- they take less of a beating than they used to. It has also led to inflation of quarterback statistics, partly due to the longer seasons (16 games vs 14), partly due to the longer careers (see above), and partly due to the rules favoring offensive football, especially passing attacks.

None of that has a thing to do with the current discussion, however. Nobody is arguing Brady is the GOAT because he has more yardage than someone else or whatever.

Yes, definitely possible. Pats fans are hopeful that Brady's famous, completely maniacal, effort to keep his body in football-ready shape 365/12 will push the aging curve back. Safe to say that Brett Favre was not known for that. :D

Bradys eating and exercise habits have squat to do with anything. He got more rest days this year than ever because 40 is 40. 41 will be the end or if not then he is on the juice. Eating won't stop his reflexes or muscles from growing old and slower to recovery. 41 is all she wrote if he plays.

I agree 100% with you. But old timers used to also say the same things about unitas starr dawson. Taking a qb out was a viable strategy back in the day and those guys called their own plays often. Just like he can say marino would have killed today I can say unitas would have killed during aikman's era.

Very interesting. I think he’s closer to retiring than we think. I give it 2 more seasons max.

Even though the Eagles didn't give him a off season in a Minneapolis hospital, could they have stuck a just as fatal blow to the Patriots?

Goddamn you are bad at this. Just terrible. Please die.

Have you considered buying a SSL for the New Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park to help the billionaire Spanos family finance the cost of it. Go to the CHARGERS web site and click on FAQ's. They have the fan in mind. Are you fan enough?
