Those guys never "got along"

Yeah! My fav's are WYWH and Animals, both recorded at a time of major drama within the band.

I had a chance to see Nirvana and Alice in Chains in around '92 I think and didn't get to go.

penchief 08-02-2020 07:49 AM

Talking Heads.

Unfortunately I was only 3 at the time, but man I’d give a lot to have seen them when they were touring with Adrian Belew as part of the band. If anyone hasn’t seen it, look for the Live in Rome show on YouTube. Incredible.

Paging KC Dan.

I remember a Van Halen concert in Vegas he regrets missing I'm sure.

I'll tell the story a bit later if he doesn't show up.

Easy 6 08-02-2020 12:44 PM

The original Guns n Roses, when they were the baddest dudes on the block

That’s why they are my biggest regret. The other bands I wish I could have seen were either extinct or past their prime by the time I was old enough to go to concerts. The Heads are one of my all time favorites and were in their prime while I was in my my teens and twenties. I should have made a determined effort to see them before they broke up.

I agree about the Rome show. They were a great live band. The Name of This Band is Talking Heads is very under appreciated, IMO.

Pink Floyd back in the Dark Side/Wall days. The Sex Pistols. The Clash. Iron Maiden or Judas Priest when they were unknown and in small venues (I've seen them both in arenas). Van Halen. Boston. Talking Heads. Alice in Chains. Nirvana or Pearl Jam when they were unknown. Mother Love Bone. Jimi Hendrix. The Beatles. Shit, you could go on and on, there have been so many great acts...

Gotta add My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks. While I was physically there, I didn't account for the altitude and got way wasted and don't remember anything past the 1st song. Still exceedingly upset with myself over that one. The videos look incredible. :/

scho63 08-03-2020 02:55 AM

Had:
Led Zeppelin
Kiss

Updating my list:

Frank Sinatra
Elvis
Queen
Elvis Costello and the Attractions
B-52's
David Bowie
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
Eagles
Fleetwood Mac
Heart
Motley Crue
Jackson 5

Adding Triumph.
