Hopkins listed Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, Buffalo's Josh Allen, Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts and LA's Justin Herbert, while saying he wants a quarterback that "loves the game of football".

It'll come down to $$$ and i have a hard time believing we'd outbid the Ravens or out desperate the Bills.

Question is, does he chase the money or the ring. Time will tell

Hopkins makes total sense for the Ravens. He's the kind of WR you want around a QB like Jackson. Someone who can make the tough catches and can snag errant passes out of the air.

Hopkins is in a spot where he signs 1 year in the right spot he can get paid next year.

I think fans seriously underestimate how popular Jackson is in the league and with players.

But if you make them UTBE (unlikely to be earned) incentives...they hit the cap next year. That's what Juju's contract was.

You can give him a void year to spread money if you really want him.

He listed Lamar as one of the QBs he'd like to play with though...

Carolina would literally be like where he just was, that'd make no sense.

They’ve been aggressive this offseason and have the second most cap space in the league. Indy could make sense too as they have a lot of cap space and a need at WR.

A big reason Hopkins wasn’t traded was attributed to him being unwilling to take a pay cut in a trade. Both KC and Buffalo would have to create space to make it work.

The Ravens are a contender with a franchise QB.

Players will view them as every bit as likely to win a ring than the Chiefs.

The Franchise 05-26-2023 11:21 AM

Honestly, he's the kind of WR that I would offer a 2 or 3 year deal if he'll take it. Low cap hit this year with an out in the 2nd or 3rd year if he wants to hit FA again. Next year MVS will be gone and it would still give us Hopkins, Toney, Moore and Rice as your top 4.

Yup. Players like Lamar and think highly of him, RB jokes be damned.

Megatron96 05-26-2023 11:22 AM

Hmm. This happens literally two days after ARI FO tells the local media that Hopkins is an important part of the team and will be a Card in 2023.

When did you become a franchise QB when you aren't a top 5 player at your spot?

If he goes anywhere other than the Chiefs....I want him on the Ravens. Cincy needs more competition and I want the Ravens to beat the shit out of them.
