Well obviously Reid and Veach disagree w you otherwise they wouldn't have signed him. So I think you are wrong - you may be right but to say it is obvious is extreme. Reid and Veach have probably have studied a lot more tape on him than anyone on this board and both have a good history scouting that position.

Either way it doesn't really matter at this point. I think Mahomes will be fine during the playoffs injury wise. Anyone can get hurt any play, of course, but odds in our favor. He can play through pain.

He's a backup with starting experience, they probably think with a proper gameplan they could get a 500 record out of him if Mahomes got hurt.
