Nah, it's not bad because of Raji. I'm just saying that you could have drafted someone else to fill the role of run stuffer later in the draft while taking a more impactful position/player with your 1st. Don't really trust Perry all that much so I would have gone with Ealy, that's all.

Nix had a bad year kind of like Clowney they both didn't want to get hurt and ruin their stock.

Raji is playing nose nix can play DE in that scheme or can play inside. It's not a horrible pick but might've looked at online too Rodgers took a beating behind that line last year.

chiefscafan 04-04-2014 01:22 PM

Hey we will be lucky if we can end up with marquis Lee he's getting graded down because of poor qb play. Anyone who has seen him play knows he's a playmaker.

Actually we are in great shape if any one of top four Wr make it to our pick.

They only really crazy scenario I see if, which I doubt, Bridgewater is available at our pick. I like smith but he could be that franchise qb we've allways wanted. Sorry bored today no interviews today I have one tomorrow.

Lee is getting knocked because he had brick hands last year.

chiefscafan 04-04-2014 01:31 PM

Old school USC had horrible QB play I see them all the time out here. He's a game breaker

Bowe has brick hands every year.

chiefscafan 04-04-2014 02:14 PM

I personally think Kelce is gonna be great so if we can add a WR we will be good.

Nightfyre 04-04-2014 02:26 PM

I personally hope Ebron drops to us. That would make it a pretty easy decision.

He also only ran a 4.5 40 and dropped about 12% of his catchable passes last year. He'll also be 23 years old this year and is older than his former teammate, Robert Woods, who entered the NFL last year.

If I were going WR? I would take Matthews before I take Lee in that situation in all honesty.

So OldSchool is basically just going to come into the mock and take pot shots at random picks. I don't know that I have ever seen anyone stoop to that level in these threads in the past.

So commenting and giving my opinion on certain picks is taking pot shots? Ok.

OldSchool 04-04-2014 03:40 PM

Here Nightfyre, something positive for you.

Biggest steals so far:

1. Robinson at 7. Moves like Eric Fisher with a lot more power to him.
2. Mike Evans at 17. There is no chance he falls that far on draft day. Best pass catcher in this draft with the size of a TE and good speed on top of that.

Hence he HADNT played nose tackle, he has signed a one year deal, hence drafting a player like Nix, would be great as depth for the packers.

As I said. He hadn't played nose tackle for three years. That had been Ryan Pickett.

He only signed a one year deal. meaning what? If Louis nix were there, and both of the top safeties were off the board, seeing as that is a huge need for them, and CJ mosely is gone, that LOUIS NIX would be a GREAT VALUE pick for the packers.

Are you with me now?

We weren't talking about the upcoming season. Bj Raji, has not been their primary nose tackle since they won the super bowl in 2010.

Which is what I said.

You realize that I am married to a packer fan, my wifes parents are packer fans, and I live 35 minutes from Lambeau?

I don't make this shit up, I promise.

Injuries. Rookies.

Green Bay ALWAYS has holes because they're the most injured team in the league. It's absolutely bizarre. And I'm sure if they draft offensive line this year (outside of a C, which is a need) they'll STILL have injuries and porous protection.

Ironically, though, the line last year was the best blocking offensive line in the run game since Ahman Green nearly put up 2000 rushing on the season. They've really struggled with run blocking over the years, and this time it was actually pretty good. And it's not just Lacy. Franklin and Starks were also productive behind it.

I don't think they're potshots, but he's got some priorities in terms of player value that are pretty dramatic contrasts to a lot of the owners in the draft.

The WRs with good hands (a subjective and anomalous statistic since so many factors change from college to pros) tend to get overrated by him. Robinson has been one of the biggest steals so far. Just two examples.

That's not terrible, but it just creates a bit of animosity. Of course each owner is going to want to defend his pick, and the other owners who like that pick will have things to say.

RealSNR 04-04-2014 04:22 PM

Let me guess-- the Rams and Chargers also have about 73 comp selections between the two

Nightfyre 04-04-2014 04:23 PM

Fair enough. Statement redacted.

Really the only thing I don't like about Lee is he catches with his body and drops a lot. I want to go a defensive playmaker in the first.

Fair enough. I would hope as a professional he can master his technique with coaching and reps but not everyone is Chris Carter.

*****OFFICIAL 2014 CP Mock Draft*****

The New Orleans Saints select

OT CYRUS KOUANDJIO from ALABAMA

The latest news on his knee from James Andrews the knee is solid and should be no trouble further. Brees needs protection on the line and his flaws are technique which coaches can fix. The Saints feel that there is value at this pick.

The Franchise 04-04-2014 07:21 PM

The Carolina Panthers select Zach Martin, OT, Notre Dame

No LT = easiest pick ever. Thought about going Benjamin but the Panthers literally have jack shit at offensive line.

TambaBerry 04-04-2014 07:23 PM

Three straight picks keep it coming

The Franchise 04-04-2014 07:25 PM

I'll have the OP updated here in a little bit. I'll also be adding in the 2nd and 3rd round as well.

Sorter 04-04-2014 08:00 PM

The New England Patriots select Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington.

I thought the 37th overall pick belonged to the Rams not the Falcons?

Direckshun 04-04-2014 10:06 PM

The Broncos are in the midst of rebuilding their back seven this offseason, after suffering tons of losses at LB and DB.

The Broncos have a choice here between Ryan Shazier, who is a stupendous sideline-to-sideline talent at LB, and Jason Verrett, this year's Brandon Flowers.

It pains them to pass on Shazier, but Verrett is wayyyy too talented. As I've said all offseason, the only thing he's lacking is height.

The Broncos draft CB Jason Verrett, TCU.

The Seahawks are on the clock.

Nightfyre 04-05-2014 01:58 AM

The Seahawks keep their pass rush scary and add Dee Ford, Auburn

Direckshun 04-05-2014 08:42 AM

Texans draft OLB Jeremiah Attaochu, Georgia Tech

Direckshun 04-05-2014 08:56 AM

The choice came down to Attaochu or Murphy.

I think Attaochu's upside a just a liiiiiittle higher.
