Alton deFlat 01-03-2009 09:10 PM

I'm sorry I think that tactic is flat-out cheap. It should be outlawed.

Cromartie looks like a reerun, though. I bet his wonderlic wasn't real high.

What should be outlawed?

Snapping the ball while the play clock is moving?

The Chargers were sleeping, simple as that. The Colts got smart and quit waiting until the play clock was inside 5 seconds to snap the ball.

It's just cheap. It's not in the spirit of the game.

Offense sets the pace of the game. The defense always has to be ready. If you change that, the offense couldn't run a hurry up drill because the defense could just say they weren't ready yet.

Being caught asleep at the wheel, especially against Peyton Manning who does it routinely.

What's cheap about snapping the ball with 15 seconds on the play clock?

The Chargers ****ed up. Period.

Maybe the league should institute a rule that says you have to snap the ball with less than 5 seconds on the play clock, that way the defense is ready...

:spock:

dirk digler 01-03-2009 09:16 PM
