Broke ass? I'll have my summer's off, a great retirement package, and make more than you every year I'm employed. I'm credit card debt free, my wife and I own both our cars and I had a master's degree fully reimbursed. You're the only dripping yeast-infested vagina in this thread. |

What exactly are you helping with in this thread besides being a bigger attention whore than Claynus? |

I'm going to go into crushing debt and stow away all the cash I can in secure, offshore accounts and when I've run everything up past its tits I'm going to welch on every last bit of it and claim hardship before going on the gov't teet off and on for 7 years while working cash jobs before I do it all over again. I should be able to retire by 50. Sweet. So sweet.

I wonder what the odds would be of a team sweeping its division but failing to make the playoffs? Damn, must be astronomical. Too bad I didn't get in on that action at the beginning of last season.

I am sorry I was so hard on your favorite girl Dane, but sometimes when you grab the bull by the horns.... I know you have an internet reputation to uphold so go ahead and call me another nasty name or two to make your little green dots go up because before you decided you couldn't handle the polite back hand I gave you when you chose to stick your nose in my affairs , I actually respected you as an internet poster here, about 95% of the people here are great people to talk to but then there's that 5% who thinks they have the right to treat people anyway they want with no recourse, you ran into the wrong buzz saw today CP legend.... sorry I had to hurt your feelings.. |

And if I've lost your respect, well, boo ****ing hoo. Apparently everybody else was right about you and I was just slow to realize it. And you've been shittier to people than anybody else in this thread and the others where you've carried on your anti-debt holy war. Perhaps you should look up the definition of "hypocrite" sometime. Or is your dictionary buried out back with your wad of singles? Eat shit, troll. Nobody cares what you do or what you think. I won't be the one to ban you, but I'm sure it's coming, and you'll do all the work. Then perhaps Overhead can pine for you the same way he does Skip. I'm heading out for the evening now. Feel free to use my absence as an excuse to claim victory when I don't respond to your next inane post. LMAO |

Hell maybe you and Dane can hook up and spoon the rest of the night together... |

You like to throw out the word hothead a lot like you're some level headed saint. Instead of calling people playground names, you like to accuse them of being a pedophile. So I'll take being a hothead over a ****ing mentally unstable jerkoff any day of the week. |

I have $195,430 in the bank. I have purchased all the guns, accessories and perks I need. I don't plan on prestiging again...so I won't lose all my monies. Bad idea, especially when you never know when some awesome contract will come out.

Wont ever make me filthy rich but at least ill be able to do what I want to do whenever I want to do it and not cyphen my money away to snotty kids and a spouse like most ppl traditionally do |

Also, I'd avoid "paying off your house". Most likely, it won't earn you 8-10% per year in the market (if not far more - I earned 28% last year alone). Refi the house to where it's "cheap money" and take the excess and invest it wisely with a good financial adviser. You'll come out WAY ahead. |
I use coupons whenever I see one. Does that make me evil? I'm only 25 and someday I might need that extra money.

Pay off that student loan and get it out of your life... Mortgage, you make the call on that, thats a personal choice,My personal choice was to pay it off in full and kick wells fargo to the curb. |
By next Friday I will not owe anyone a penny. I'm so looking forward to it.

I don't know why it even matters when the world is going to end in 1.5 years

You're an odd cookie, R8ers. I've never seen someone so in need of justifying his financial decisions to others.

We just paid off our car 3 years early so we officially only have mortgage debt.
|
Quote:
Same goes for the home mortgage. Sure, if you're just going to stuff the cash in a mattress then pay off the debt. But if your rate is 5% and your ROI in the market is 20% /yr averaged over the life of the loan well you just earned a nifty 15% on money that otherwise would have gone in the can. The only debt one should rush in an "at all costs" fashion to pay off is credit card debt. Christ, right now if got an ARM home loan your rate is actually lower than it was 3 years ago. I know you like to fellate yourself from atop your high horse for your financial "savvy" but stop being a dick about it because the bottom line is throwing money out the window because you've assigned some misguided evil to debt is reeruned. I work for my money then I make my money work for me. Bam. My guitar still costs more than your car and I've still got more cabbage in the couch cushions than you earn in 2 years. |

Keep thinking like that and you too will be broke all your life depending on someone else to decide if you will or will not have any money... |

Give me the name of that bank and a phone number, I will call them Monday |

My point is that the money isn't sitting there. It shouldn't be sitting there. If it is, then a fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place. Again, I work for my money then put my money to work for me. I have no problem carrying debt, particularly when the interest rate on my debt is outpaced by at least 4% ROI by taking that debt cash and investing it elsewhere. Yeah, I'm paying some asshole 5% interest on a loan but I've got that loan stacked somewhere else where someone is paying me 15%. So I pay off my 5 points to the bank and keep 10 for myself. How the **** does this not make sense to you? I'll kick over my couch for your year's wage and leverage that against a loan, invest it, make money and pay back my debt over the course of years while earning cash at the same time. It's how I can afford shits and giggles gifts to myself like Hyundai priced custom guitars. |

I know that you're somewhat "backed into a corner" on this one since you're clearly in the minority, but I just don't get what personal benefit you're getting from this crusade. Are you legitimately trying to help people? If so, you won't get very far by being so condescending to people about it. Do you just get some sort of gratification from berating people? I don't know about that one. Seems odd, but possible. Are you insecure with your own financial decisions and compensating by being aggressive about it? I find this to be the most likely, but I don't know you. I mean, christ man, you make assumptions about others' financial well-being that are clearly not true. You've assumed this entire time that I'm some idiot kid that has no idea what he's talking about, to the point that you wanted to see my (and others') credit card statements. Does that not seem weird to you? Hell, some people won't even provide financial information like that to ANYONE, let alone some random guy on the internet. I just don't get it is all. You have your philosophies, others have theirs. Why do you feel the need to carry on about it constantly? (These are all rhetorical questions, so don't feel the need to necessarily respond. As I mentioned, I just don't understand. THAT is why I think you're odd.) |
