Honestly, do they have to have singing in every episode? The singing adds nothing, only takes away. I almost want to ****in change it when it starts in.

I thought last night's episode was one of their best in a long, long time. Oh, and they didn't sing last night, which was nice.

Last night's episode was good, except it was almost like a season finale. You get Elsa's backstory, complete explanation and closure on Twisty, the townsfolk love the carny's and accept them by going to the shows, etc.

On Elsa's backstory - I didn't get it. All year she was portrayed as a washed up singer who was on the cusp of stardom and was somehow wronged and fell into despair. She was just a dominatrix.

I'm not sure how interested I am in the quack trying to abduct the twins and Dandy's transformation. Plus, the girl who was originally abducted can ID Dandy. She bumped into him in the woods.

I liked Elsa's backstory. After the tape spread, she "was a star". It seemed like a good, loose reference to how she became obsessed with being famous. She lied to everyone about being a broadway singer the same way she's lied to everyone about her legs.

Im wondering what the **** happened with the Brothel angle they were working at the start of the season.

And what happened to Lobster Hand's mother? How come everyone was out there celebrating him and his mother was nowhere to be found?

And yeah, they should be able to identify Dandy now, but of course they won't. There's some holes in the story for sure, but thus far i'm enjoying it more than season 3...and it's been more memorable than season 2 imo. It's good to see them getting back to actually being a "horror" story.

The Clown's mouth/Story was awesome.

I just watched a random episode the other night for the first time. Can't believe I haven't been watching this.

Ok so after reading through this thread it looks like I need to go watch Season 1, then skip season 2 and 3... then maybe start again at season 4.

Season 3 was a dumpster fire imo. Season 2 started off well and you'll get several hours of entertainment out of it, it just unravels during the last 3 episodes or so. It was like they didn't know how to finish it.

Season 4 has been promising thus far.

I do say Twisty is pretty badass creepy. I hope he is a main part of the show.

We all know him as Twisty the clown, but did they ever actually reveal his name on the show?

Just watched last weeks episode. Anyone else get a boner when they sawed ol girls legs off? What a random thing to do to a chick, best moment of this season so far for me. I didn't care for the clowns back story, felt that could have been way more dynamic and sinister. Still a meh season for me up to this point.

Anyone still watching this? Caught it last night. I thought the season premiere was decent, but i think the premiere has ever really been the issue with this show.

I just can't will myself to care. I've watched the first 4 or 5 episodes of the last 3 seasons and just petered out. Haven't finished a one since the first year. It tantalizes that there will be a payoff, but it requires such close attention and rarely delivers.

You can't half watch it [like say a police procedural] and it's too draining to give your full attention.

It's like a crappy Shakespeare production, or a minor Terrence Malick film.

I liked 1st and 2nd season. I couldn't get into Coven and didn't even bother with Freak Show. I've watched first episode of this, and I'll watch it for a bit just because I like the art deco hotel.

There was enough sex in the premiere to make me wonder if it belonged on network T.V. Overall, i enjoyed the 1st episode. It didn't "wow" me, but the Tits N' Ass kept me entertained. I wonder if it sustains?

"Freak Show" started off with some interesting sexual concepts and then completely strayed away after the 1st or 2nd episode.

Surprised they can show so much int he sex scenes, but it is FX and not regular network TV I guess. Creepiest part for me was the guy with his eyes, and tongue cut out and then nailed to bed and his stiffy glued into the dead chick riding him. That shit was freaky! I will watch, but mainly because my wife likes it and its one of the shows we watch together.

I enjoyed Coven the best. Mine goes 3,1,4,2. The 2nd season is the only one i didn't finish. Hopefully this new season picks up.. I wasn't a big fan of the premiere

I wasn't a fan of Coven. My order would probably go.....4,2,1,3. I know most people are probably going to rank season 1 1st....but it kinda bored me. Season 2 completely fell apart at the end, like every season, but i liked the premise. 4....Clowns freak me out and their clown was one of the best i've ever seen. And the psycho dude was a memorable character.

Coven....meh....witches don't interest me too much, and the fat chick ****ing the bull-man....meh....one of the stupidest moments in the series for me.

If this season can some how manage to not turn into Glee, the way it has in prior seasons, it might be good.

We watched it with a WTF look on our faces. Still going to watch it but I dunno man. Season 1 was a hustle.

But this season has a little more promise to it - reminds me a little more of season 2 where there has to be some story in there (as opposed to season 4 which was pretty much just "hey, look at all this nasty shit").

And if they decide that they're going to skip having a story, at least they appear to be going with "hey, look at all this softcore porn" which is at least more interesting to watch. Because Gaga's ass is no joke, man. The rest of her is pretty much a hideous man-beast but that ass is legit.

It was ok. They really shouldn't have present day music in a 50's era show but whatever.

The show isn't scary. There is no buildup of tension. It has good ideas that are poorly executed. Having someone sewn into the mattress is a good idea, but it just ended abruptly. You didn't care about the German tourists. Same thing with the drill dildo. It's just a series of "how can I shock the audience" scenes.

Show is dumb as hell. I was watching the 2nd episode and couldn't finish it, so incredibly dumb. No point to the show at all. Just like what Chiefnj2 said, all they are doing is trying to shock the audience.

Jesus. My wife and I quit this show after the first few episodes of that "Hotel" travesty, then came back for this latest season thinking it looked interesting and maybe they got over shoving their constant gay crap in your face.

1st episode looked promising, then the 2nd episode and they're back with their gay sex scenes again.
