I'm trying to listen to the follow up on 810 sports radio from the local fans and it's nothing but fucking commericals! WTF? One question or call from a listener and then 5 minutes of ads? This sucks

Haley is one of Pioli's mistakes ... Cassel the other yet you miss Haley but hate Pioli? weird |

just wait until they return from commercials and spend 4 minutes talking about where they're broadcsting from and all the great specials etc. |
Cassel single-handedly strung Romeo's defense out to dry in the two losses that turned our season south...Miami and Denver....
How can he possibly pick him? |

That's quite the accomplishment. |

Yeah, let's get real here. NO ONE is going to be hired by an NFL team and then step into a news conference and start throwing existing players under a bus. No 1, that's bad form. No 2, you immediately lose a locker room if you do that.
The closest thing Romeo is going to get to saying something bad about a player was when he demoted Palko to third string and said "Well this is a production based game and I thanked Tyler for what he's done, but we're looking for more production from the QB so I'm going to give Kyle and Stanzi an opportunity to see what they've got." The fact that there was not an unequivocal "Matt Cassel is the guy and we're going to ride him to the Super Bowl" statement in that news conference speaks volumes... |

:spock: |
Right now Cassel is the only real QB on the roster. What the heck do people expect Romeo to say at this point? He might never get Orton even if that's who he prefers. Palko shouldn't be on an NFL roster, and for whatever reason Stanzi wasn't able to take a snap this year. Cassel is the only QB with game experience. He's not going to crap on the guy.

What Crennel really just said was 'Cassel is my fallback guy in case i can't get a replacement. I don't want to burn that bridge yet' |

I can't remember where I saw it, maybe on NFL channel , some video at the end of a game, I think it may have been the Miami game. They showed Haley making a comment , Crennel, just ignored him. Haley kind of gave him a double take with a ( you mother****ers are ****ing me ) look on his face and walked away. That's how It looked to me.

Nick Wright is in full blown conspiracy mode.
He now says that Romeo/Clark's comments about winning are false and that they don't care about winning. Jeez! You can't win with some people. One minute you're crying about how Clark hasn't said that he's committed to winning, but when he does say it, people cry about how they don't mean it. ROFL |
Quote:
That's one that has been on my mind. Crennel didn't say shit back to haley. Looked like there was alot of friction there. |
Nick Wright is on a rant about Clark saying that he wants to draft, develop, and keep great players. ROFL

The writing was on the wall. |
I can't believe people actually expected Crennel to take the stage and throw a player under the bus and openly question the only QB on the roster who has won an NFL game.

A Romeo Crennel, Gary Gibbs, Brian Daboll coached team is going to pwnt this league. Great hire!

Famous last words from Fat Scott during his introduction press conference in 2009:
"It's not about having the best people, It's about having the right people". I.e. the "right people"... a cheap talent-less roster that keeps the Chiefs millions upon millions under the salary cap and a yes-man puppet for HC. Welcome to Fat Scott's personal utopia of mediocre football. |

And Romeo's D must have seen enough of Cassel in practice for the last 2 years. Its impossible to believe Romeo doesn't know that he is setup to fail with Cassel as the starter. |

Scott Pioli: Romeo you know if i hire you for the head coaching gig, you have to Play Cassel as the starting QB, right? Crennel: Awww Man. Scott Pioli: take it or leave it. Crennel: wtf, it's better than being DC, i'll try it. |
Glad to have him, I think it's the right chioce at this time. there's no way RAC's going play his hand yet. I donno why some seem to think the Crennel = Cassel

I like the hire. I think the way he handled the QB situation over the past 3 weeks gives me hope that RAC sees the value of having a good QB and has the willingness to do what it takes to put that guy out there.
His determination to not go down the same road he went down in Cleveland tells me he's going to make the changes we need made. Both RAC and Scott Pioli know their jobs are on the line now. |
