Man, if you have had several dealings in court before, you understand just how wacky the system is. I know it's all we got, but to say things are done fairly in court, is stretching the shit out of the reality of the way it really is

Get a kick ass attorney. And the felony charges can be plead down to three misdemeanors. Probaly only looking at probation and fines. I had a similar event a few times. Look for lots of fines. File a PFA on behalf of your daughter. Work it out so you also have leverage. Maybe he won't press charges. Unless he is a pussy.

The part that bugs me the most about MTG's situation is... why didn't his ex take matters into her own hands? That is her child and if she knew about the bf slapping the girl hard enough to leave a "hand print", she should have thrown his ass out. Plain and simple. That is exactly what I would have done.
It also makes me wonder if she didn't stand up to this prick because she's getting physically abused by him as well? Either way, a mother should not allow her child to be hit that hard by some prick. Whether this thread is real or not I get a few truths from it.
A lot of people are stupid and marry the wrong person (this includes me) Once divorced most ex's do shit we don't like Most ex's new bf's or gf's are assholes or dumb sluts old significant others new interests are never as good to our kids as we think they should be Any old significant others new interest laying a hand on our kid is out of line beating our ex's new significant other out of passion is partially understood, partially stupid. Hitting them is one thing.... putting them in peril for thier life is another. Back to people are ignorant, over-reacting, immature, idiotic and often don't take the time to hear the facts on anything before reacting... and often pay for that more than it was worth. |

If this is really true, which I doubt, posting about it online is one of the worst things you can do for your case and ultimately for your kids.
Even if you want to curbstomp the guy, how could you do it in front of your daughter? What has that done to her mind that can never be undone? What will growing up knowing her dad is in jail or a screwup continue to do? |
