Jameer Nelson gets a pretty good look at a 13 footer and damn near airballs it. :( Then in OT they get behind early and again come back. With a chance to win with a 3 or tie with a 2, they draw up a play for Glen Davis to get a turnaround 15 foot fadeaway. :( Couldn't believe it.

Orlando has played surprisingly well. I really thought Indiana would sweep. Van Gundy is a good coach. Too bad the cancer is going to drive him out of town and then decide he'll leave anyway.

Probably. It's just gonna be devastating. Oh well. Been through it before. There's always another superstar around the bend.

It's gotta be tough being an Orlando fan. I hope you get a kings ransom for Howard and move on. Maybe your next superstar will finish the job.

We got lucky landing KD. Most people would try to get the **** out of here. He sees the organization doing the right things and commits. Now his team mates are falling in line. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts because it will be hard for lightning to strike twice.

Now if the Chiefs could land their franchise guy. I've only been waiting 40 years for that :(

Sign Harden and things will continue to be great. I still can't figure out why they drafted Aldrich over Bledsoe, Patterson, or Fields, though.

They've done so well, they're allowed a blunder here and there.

The Sonics have been drafting big man stiffs in the 1st round for years. It's a tradition that's tough to break.

KevB 05-07-2012 09:08 PM

Mayo is just an awful point guard. It's sad that the Grizzlies don't have anyone else to play that position to back up Conley. It's unfair to Mayo. He's a Microwave off the bench, not a distributor.

KevB 05-07-2012 09:13 PM

Zach Randolph was one of the dominant players in the playoffs last season. This season, just a guy. Just don't understand it.

That bitch is creepy looking.

KevB 05-07-2012 09:39 PM

Not sure what happened, but this isn't the same Grizz team from earlier this season or last year's playoffs. Gay is soft and doesn't play defense. Mayo looks like the free agent to be that he is and is jacking every chance he gets. ZBo is a shell of his former self. All along, their best player can barely get touches and apparently the coach says he doesn't "ask" for the ball enough (Gasol). Hey coach, it's your ****ing job to get the ball to your best players. Gasol is unselfish, it's what makes him good.

KevB 05-07-2012 09:42 PM

These officials are constantly duped by Evans. The guy is dirty and never gets called. Meanwhile, he flops and gets a call. Unbelievable.

KevB 05-07-2012 09:54 PM

Shouldn't a guy making what Rudy Gay makes, primarily because he's a scorer, be able to take guys like Butler/Foye/Young any time he wants?

okcchief 05-07-2012 10:57 PM

Gay and Randolph have never played that well together IMO.

I'm definitely rooting for Memphis. LA does a lot of flopping and cheap shit I don't like. I consider Memphis a rival, but I respect the way they play.

I had an idea of how they played, but watching them several games in a row....it makes me sick. They're starting to get called out for it too, although the refs haven't really figured it out yet.

kcxiv 05-07-2012 11:08 PM

Everytime I watch Chris Paul play hes arguing with a player from another team. Lol

okcchief 05-07-2012 11:10 PM

I'd really like to see the NBA address the flopping this offseason. It's not basketball. It sucks the fun out of the game.

Gasol gets raped while looking at the pretty colors on the rebound then Griffin bitch slaps him.

KevB 05-07-2012 11:53 PM

Anybody else predict that Reggie Evans would have a bigger impact on this series that Zach Randolph? smh

Appears he played for his contract extension last year, got it and now is coasting into the end of his career.

okcchief 05-07-2012 11:54 PM

If you combined Memphis' perimeter play this year with their post play last year they'd be World Champions.

They could still take the last three and win this series. That first game collapse really ****ed them up.

Shortened season and he missed most of it due to injury. I wouldn't completely write him off just yet.

He's been back for over a month so that feels like an excuse. They eased him in hoping he'd be fresh and ready to put in work in the playoffs. He just hasn't done anything. It would be one thing if he got things done in the post but couldn't play for longer stretches. But he's "just a guy" whenever he's out there.

KevB 05-08-2012 12:05 AM

Don't let me forget to mention that Mayo was a joke the last two games also. This is a guy they really depended on during the season to score off the bench and in the 4th quarter. He's 2 for 14 the last two games with a number of turnovers.

He's nowhere near the same, but it's been a weird year. He doesn't appear to be dogging it. It's just not there right now for whatever reason.

okcchief 05-08-2012 12:08 AM

That first game was a mind ****.

To be honest. Neither one of these teams is taking SA any farther than 5 games IMO.

Post game guys making great points, same thing I was screaming down the stretch. Especially with Griffin on the bench, how do you not double on the pick and roll? Reggie Evans as the roll guy? And you're not going to double Paul?

First 3 quarters were some of the worst shooting i have ever seen. They just didnt shoot well til the 4th quarter. So many open misses. Especially from Barnes. He just cant buy a bucket. Even after having a horrible shooting game, they almost won it. Good news is, if they make it to OKC. Ron is back for the first game instead of the 2nd.

He actually put up 40 percent from 3 after the all star break. So if he's open, i dont mind him shooting it. plus he can play D. Ebanks is ****ing terrible. Danillo was taking his ass to school. So if it goes game 7. That wont happen again.

Clippers losing their minds. Also, OJ Mayo is the opposite of a point guard. He just can't help himself; if there's a sliver of daylight, he's putting it up.

Definitely feeling better about the Grizz chances with Paul and Griffin nicked up. That said, the Grizz still just aren't "right". I'd like to see them play a second half without foul trouble for once. When Conley goes out, they're in serious trouble as Mayo is worse at point guard than I would be.

They liked Jeremy Pargo, who was coming back from Europe. They also thought they could ease Selby into the mix as the year wore on. They were sadly mistaken in both cases. It isn't fair to Mayo really, but he still pisses me off.

What happened to Pargo? I remember when they played OKC the first week he played well after Conley got hurt. I'd think he'd play point better than Mayo.

Watson was atrocious save for the one nice dish to Asik. How many times did he stand outside dribbling, then chucking a heavily guarded 3. Is that really what TT drew up? And passing the ball to Asik was beyond comprehension. Boozer should be amnestied before the night is over and no later. Playing for your playoff lives, and you can't put him in the last quarter and a half? What a joke.

Bottom line is no player is more important to his team than Derrick Rose. They put a bunch of defensive guys around him to make them a really tough team, but lose the one guy and you have zero offense.

In58men 05-10-2012 08:07 PM

Even with Rose we would've struggled however long we lasted in the playoffs. The Bulls front office is stupid as hell for putting some of these guys around Rose. The supporting cast is below average at best. We need more star power if we wanna win another title. The current group of misfits won't cut it.
