I hear it from out of staters in New York, Texas, California. Especially when referring to the Chiefs. Arrowhead and it's fans still have a reputation that's pretty good, whether it's still deserved or not. There's always a major showing for the primetime games which probably helps keep it going.

Yeah, that was a critical drive that the Chiefs were looking to go ahead late in the game, and the crowd saw a rare first down and had some excitement.

But go ahead and assume the worst, Eric, and decide you know why people are cheering and get all holy to the media about what a bunch of dirtbags we are.

I like our guy standing up for his teammate, but **** him. And those who want him cut, thats ****ing crazy. We ****ing owned one of the best defenses in the NFL on the ground today with our offensive line. Any quarterback play and we roll to victory.

I wonder how much internal coaching/front office rhetoric is drilled into Chiefs players in meetings, practices, etc.? Coaches play a city's media against teams all the time, so it isn't much of a stretch to think that internal Chiefs rhetoric might be playing fans against the team. Hell, its so outside of the box that it might work for a season.

I don't care about that one way or the other. What I oppose is players acting like they have some kind of high ground when they play like shit, and then feel free to complain about faithful fans who show up to see their sorry ass team lose week after week. Winston and Boss have only been here for a few weeks and they think they understand the shit these fans have eaten for 20 years? **** them both.

I don't think that matters. Just because we've been through shit the past 20 years doesn't mean we should be cheering injuries.

If the players saw the banner today, it wouldn't take any FO rhetoric for them to be resentful of the fans. Tell anyone they suck at they're job and they will likely start flinging shit right back at you.

However, given time this will sink in, and perhaps Winston will see what we see; a team that hasn't had a lead in 5 games this season lead by a QB who cannot be trusted to attempt converting a 3rd and long.

all that sign said was we want a better GM and a better QB. These players can't be stupid enough to think the fans think the entire teams sucks.

Not that I disagree with anything Winston said. But you have to think if you're Clark Hunt staring at a 1-4 team, the last thing you want is for players to be criticizing the fans who are still for some reason watching this miserable team.
